RHONY star Luann de Lesseps feels betrayed over Ramona Singer's friendship with her ex Tom
It's safe to say that Luann de Lesseps had one hell of a year after the end of her marriage to Tom D’Agostino and a recent trip to the rehab following a catalog of charges. And the stress of the series of events, however, was reflected in a recent episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, as Lesseps called into question the loyalty of her co-star-cum-friend Ramona Singer.
The bone of contention appeared to be a New Year's Eve party, thrown by D’Agostino on the same boat where the exes had their rehearsal dinner a year back before their relationship fell apart. While the two may have parted ways since then, Lesseps felt that it way not cool on Singer's part to go behind her back and try to contact her ex for an invite to the party.
In Lesseps' opinion, it was as good as breaking the "girl code". “I heard through the grapevine that Ramona was calling Tom to try to invited to the party that was on the boat our rehearsal dinner was on,” said Lesseps, according to People magazine. “How low was that? What is that all about?”
The 53-year-old RHONY star, while confronting Singer on Monday night's episode further went on highlight the status of their friendship, especially in the light of the Tru Renewal owner's lingering friendship with her ex, D’Agostino.
“Here I am in rehab … I mean, what’s wrong with her?. It’s mind-blowing that she would even consider something like that and call herself my friend?” questioned Lesseps adding, "It’s very uncool. She’s texting me at the same time, ‘I’m here to support you, I hope everything’s okay.’ … It’s shocking even for Ramona! … Is she really that dumb? … What a traitor.”
Clearly, the ladies are not thick in their relationship since Lesseps' ex became a part of the picture. To make things worse, soon before the party, around Christmas Eve, Lesseps had to battle a series of unfortunate events. Following an incident in Palm Beach around the time, the reality star was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication, battery on a police officer and so on.
According to multiple reports, the TV personality recently accepted a plea deal in relation to the case.
“Ramona has fear of missing out. She’s a FOMO case. Does she place our relationship ahead of her fear of missing out? No, ‘cause that’s what FOMOs do,” Lesseps says in a confrontational video, per ET Online.
Not the one to take the allegations lying low, even Singer shot back suggesting that it was Lesseps who went behind her back and started dating D’Agostino in the first place.
“What is Luann so upset about? She started dating Tom behind my back. She knew I was dating him and never shared that fact,” added Singer.
