'Real Housewives of Orange County': Vicki age-shamed by Emily, viewers say it wouldn't have happened if she had gossiped less
The 'Real Housewives of Orange County' stars Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, popularly known as the 'Tres Amigas', have often found themselves amid 'ageist' comments, and most of them have come from castmates Kelly Dodd and Emily Simpson.
The newest housewife who is expressing grief over it on social media is Vicki, who has been on the receiving end of Emily's scathing remark.
''Watched @BravoRHOC last night & was shocked to hear @RealOCEmily bash me about my age of 57. Referencing me as “old, I should be in a convalescent home, and geriatric”. Really? I can’t change my DOB and you will get there too. #disrespectful #rude," she wrote.
Her tweet triggered conversations that are going in different directions at the moment. While a handful has supported her for calling out on Emily, rest are busy picking on her faults.
Coming in support of good friend Vicki was Tamra, who shared a few photos of her flexing her muscles and showing off her sculpted body in a swimsuit. More than the photos, her caption said it all. "Cheers to being “ old & geriatric” #rhoc #age-shamming #52 #grandma #4kids #fitmom #myhipswork #fitoldlady #hardworkpaysoff💪 #vegetarian ~The hypocrisy is disgusting," she wrote.
Even though she hasn't mentioned if she's with Vicki on the age-shaming issue, the posts were uploaded around the same time.
But, fans aren't buying Vicki's new mission, with some even pointing out how reckless she has been in her interactions with the castmates.
''You’re not shocked by your behavior-at all? Screaming in public? Starting fights? Entertaining conversations with people that have nothing to do with you? Weed your own lawn. I used to be a fan of yours. Now you’re embarrassing. BTW I’m 52 and fine being old,'' a fan wrote.
Another viewer wrote that maybe Vicki didn't have to be at the receiving end of Emily's meanness had she been a bit gentle in her approach. ''Maybe if you acted kindly, as if your age had imparted wisdom, @RealOCEmily might not have gone there. The way you drop "gossip" and act aggrieved when you're called out on it is embarrassing. #RHOC #BravoRHOC," said the fan.
Interestingly, someone showed the mirror to Vicki, writing, "What’s the problem, have you not shamed “little girls” on the show telling them they know nothing because they are younger than you?"
