'Real Housewives of Orange County' alum Kara Keough is dealing with the death of her father, a month after losing her infant son, McCoy.

Her father, former Oakland A pitcher Matt Keough, passed away on Saturday, May 2, at the age of 65. The cause of his death was not revealed. “Daddy, please take care of my son. Teach him the circle changeup and how to find forever friends. You’re on grandpa duty in heaven now. Xoxo, Hammerhead,” Kara captioned a number of photos of her later father that she posted on Instagram after his death.

During his 7-year stint with Oakland A, Matt received several awards for his performance, including 1978 All-Star rookie, 1980 American League Comeback Player of the Year, TMZ reported. He also pitched for the Cardinals, Cubs, Astros and Yankees.

After baseball, Matt ventured into the world of reality television with his then-wife, Jeana, after they were cast on 'RHOC.' The couple, who married in 1984, separated 20 years later. They continued to live together during the early seasons of the show.

A number of Kara's fans offered their condolences on her loss. "I honestly can't even begin to find the words to convey how truly sorry I am for both of the losses that you are dealing with! Sending my deepest condolences and all my thoughts, prayers, love and positive energy to you and your family right now!" wrote one.

Another commented: "Sending lots of love during this time. You are so strong. It may seem dark now but you will get through it."

A third remarked: "Oh sweet Kara. Two huge loses (sic) in such a short time. I can’t imagine what you and your family are dealing with. I cover you in prayer and peace."

Tragedy struck the Keoughs when Kara lost her newborn son during childbirth on April 6, following “shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord."

“He joined our Heavenly Father and will live forever in the hearts of his loving parents, his adoring sister, and those that received his life-saving gifts,” Kara announced on social media on April 14.

“May his legacy shine in the form of lifetimes aplenty — lives filled with laughter, compassion, energy, love, and most of all gratitude. May it be said that McCoy Casey Bosworth left this world in a better place, for a better place …. that he made an impact … that he was an answered prayer … that he was a hero.”

On April 27, Kara wrote an emotional post reflecting on the death of her son, which also featured a photo of her and her husband Kyle Bosworth, holding onto their son after his birth. The couple shares a 4-year-old daughter, Decker.

“You would have been 3 weeks old today,” the reality star wrote. “You would be ‘waking up’ and showing us more of you. I would be getting the hang of being a mom of two. My milk would be regulating to your schedule. Your sister would be asking questions about your belly button and you would have peed on her at least once by now."
