Petition to remove Kylie Jenner from 'WAP' video gets over 38K signatures but fans say 'this hate needs to stop'
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's latest track 'WAP' has garnered a lot of attention for its raunchy lyrics and explicit video. Besides those aspects, the song has also become the hot topic of discussion among fans for featuring Kylie Jenner.
The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star makes a brief appearance in 'WAP', putting her rear on the display while showing ample bosom. In less than 24 hours, the video has clocked over 25M views and counting. Although the video has managed to grab all the attention for everything it has to offer, the majority of them aren't too happy to see Kylie in the video. Many have labeled her a "culture vulture" who is trying to steal the show in a video full of Black women.
Soon, a petition was started on Change.org demanding Kylie's removal from the video, which has already received over 38,000 signatures with 50,000 set as the goal. The brief for the same reads, "The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone." you can watch the video here.
However, her fans took to Twitter to extend their support to Kylie, expressing their disappointment in the "haters" who are rallying for her to be removed from the video. One fan wrote, "Why y’all always hatin on Kylie everything she does is a issue for yall."

A few hours ago, Cardi B shared a post thanking all the women who made the video happen. She wrote, "I wanna say thank you to every woman that was apart of my video! The fact that you made time in your schedules means alot to me! It was so important to me to include different women, that are different races and come from different backgrounds but are so powerful and influential."

Requesting all to stop showing so much hate towards Kylie another added, "All this hate on my girl Kylie needs to stop now smh."
Meanwhile, a few of them have opined that including Kylie in the video was a tactic to get more attention. "Do you think that perhaps they chose her as a business move to appeal to a broader audience? As much as making music is very personal for all artists, it's also a money making endeavor. I'm just throwing that out there as I really have no idea what their true intentions could be," one tweeted.

And some of them have noted that they just aren't happy to see Kylie in 'WAP' as it makes them feel she's "taking " from the Black community. One tweet read, "It’s so much more than how good someone looks. We don’t want culture vultures to feel safe in our spaces. The more we allow it, the more they continue to take from our community and likeness. We’re sick of it and honestly it was disappointing to see her in the video."
we don't like culture vultures on dis side... no matter how pretty she is or how nice her body is
