Reese Witherspoon hails son Deacon's 'ambition and talent' in adorable post on his 19th birthday
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Resse Witherspoon celebrated her son Deacon Reese Phillippe's 19th birthday by posting adorable pictures of him on her Instagram account on October 23, 2022. The 46-year-old star's first picture in the post showed her second child smiling as he posed for a photo, followed by a second one that was taken during his early years. The Academy Award-winning actress who recently appeared in the third season of 'Never Have I Ever', has Deacon and a daughter named Ava Elizabeth Phillippe with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, whom she divorced in 2007.
Witherspoon captioned the post, "Big Birthday Love for @deaconphillippe today ! 💫The guy who possesses the most joyful energy, endless drive, ambition and talent. And the biggest heart in the world. 💓Could not be more PROUD of you.. I love you, D! 💫💙 🎶." Deacon reportedly has been making strides as a singer and music producer.

According to the Daily Mail, Witherspoon and her former husband first met at a party that was being held for her 21st birthday party. The duo tied the knot in 1999 after years of dating. Witherspoon gave birth to their daughter Ava that year, who is now 23, and they welcomed Deacon in 2003. However, the duo separated after eight years of marriage in 2007 after they filed for divorce in October of that year.
Witherspoon then moved on with her now husband Jim Toth, whom she married in 2011. The couple has a son Tennessee James, aged 10, whom they welcomed in 2012. The actress said that becoming a parent at a young age is quite difficult in an episode of 'The Drew Barrymore Show'. "I was just like every other mom and dad trying to figure it out. There's a lot of compromise," she said. While speaking about her motherhood, she stated that she had grown to appreciate her status as a mother.
"Every bit of that sacrifice is truly worth it. You feel like that's what makes me wake up on a Sunday, it's not movies or my job, it's my kids," she said. Witherspoon concluded by saying that she has fully embraced parenthood over the years. "Being a mom is really great, it's a big part of my life. I would say it's the biggest part of my life," she added.
