Rebel Wilson has been a part of some of the big-ticket films in Hollywood, but she still feels that the situation in the industry is unfair for plus-size women. Wilson believes that plus-size women are a majority in the United States, but when it comes to Hollywood, they are rarely seen taking on the lead role in a film.

"I am the average size of the American and Australian woman, and yet plus-size actresses have less than one percent of all leading roles, I think, even though they are the majority of women," she said.

Wilson called out for more representation. Wilson reflected on how movies have an impact on people and it would be beneficial to break the idea about ideal women by creating more representation in Hollywood.

"If you think about it in those terms, it’s still really important to have representation like me in those types of leading-lady roles because it’s still unfair. And the beauty standards put up there, especially for young women, [they] can be unfair at times," she said, speaking to Daily Telegraph

While it might be a long wait to see Hollywood shape in this manner, Wilson stated that she is proud of the movies she has done. " I’m so proud of the film, of the message. In the works that I do, I am trying to put those positive messages in there," she said.

Meanwhile, Wilson also reflected on her movies 'Cats'. Her film 'Cats' was a musical that was expected to win hearts with its cast of A-list celebrities and a musical journey that was never seen on the big screen before. Unfortunately, it was not able to create an impact as it had hoped and the movie descended among the pile of flops.

Wilson hinted that she had expected the movie to do much better than it had. "I wish 'Cats' had done better at the box office. It’s such an artistic movie, with all-live singing and dancing. It’s an incredible international cast. I feel like people were a bit scared of it, and the new technology. They thought it was a bit freaky or something," she said.

She hopes that the movie might become a hit in the future. "But hopefully people find it later. Sometimes with musicals that are a bit obscure... Rocky Horror kind of bombed when it came out and now it’s a cult classic. So hopefully 'Cats' finds a new life when it comes out on streaming services and is able to be downloaded," she added.
