What happened between WarnerMedia and Ray Fisher?
The actor, 33, who made his breakthrough in 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' in 2016, called out director Joss Whedon, claiming that the writer-director was being "unprofessional" and that his behavior was "completely unacceptable”. He also spoke about how this behavior was being enabled by the company's executives. He tweeted on July 1, 2020, saying: "Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment."
"During the LA reshoots for Justice League, Geoff Johns summoned me to his office to belittle and admonish my (and my agent’s) attempts to take grievances up the proper chain of command. He then made a thinly veiled threat to my career. This behavior cannot continue. A>E," he tweeted again in August.
Hope came later that month when WarnerMedia launched an investigation regarding the actor's claims. "After 5 weeks of interviews with various cast/crew, @WarnerMedia has officially launched an independent third-party investigation to get to the heart of the toxic and abusive work environment created during Justice League reshoots. This is a MASSIVE step forward! (1/2)," he tweeted again, later that month, in hope of resolving the issue.
'I received a phone call from the President of DC Films'
"I believe this investigation will show that Geoff Johns, Joss Whedon, Jon Berg (and others) grossly abused their power during the uncertainty of AT&T’s merger with Time Warner. Thank you @WarnerMedia and @ATT for making strides to ensure a safer workplace for all! A>E (2/2)," he added, sounding hopeful.
The actor also pointed out the ways in which the company was trying to deal with him, specifically current DC Films chief Walter Hamada. "So you can better understand how deep this goes: After speaking out about Justice League, I received a phone call from the President of DC Films wherein he attempted to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns. I will not. A>E," the actor said in September.
However, the actor's outspokenness and the fact that WarnerMedia allegedly claims that he was not cooperative during the investigation led to him being removed from the upcoming installment of 'The Flash'. Fisher took to social media again to post a two-page statement, detailing the incident. In the statement, Fisher implies that it was outspoken behavior that led to the loss of his role. But maintained that he had no regrets over the same. “If the end of my time as Cyborg is the cost for helping to bring awareness and accountability to Walter Hamada’s actions—I’ll pay it gladly,” he wrote.

How did WarnerMedia reignite the argument?
In light of the George Floyd murder case verdict, WarnerMedia's statement that spoke of racial equity and social justice did not sit well with the actor. "How fucking DARE YOU @WarnerMedia?!?!?! Oh, now I’m pissed...." said the actor, who played Cyborg in the DC Cinematic Universe.
