Waka Flocka Flame, DJ Akademiks call for Mexicans and Blacks to unite, end up dividing Internet: 'You trippin'

Both rappers took to Instagram to share that Mexicans and Blacks have the 'same blood but swear we different'

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame has stirred controversy on social media after he took to his official Instagram account and spoke about unifying Mexicans and Blacks as they have the same blood but are still different. Adding fuel to the fire, DJ Akademiks took a screenshot of the image along with the caption and posted the image on his official Instagram account.

The 34-year-old rapper, who is known for songs like 'No Hands', 'O Let's Do It' and 'Hard in da Paint' among others, posted a photo that said, "If Mexicans and Blacks unified what would happen?..We literally have the same blood but swear we different." The rapper posted a digital signature under his quote. Waka Flocka also posted a caption with the text image which read, "The Latin and African nations need to unite!!!!!"

The hip-hop artiste has 3.3 million followers on his official Instagram account and it did not take much time for things to heat up. His fans started posting comments as soon as the photo was uploaded. Going against the artiste's post, one fan commented, "Blacks and Mexicans is nothing a like. You trippin."

Taking the Blacks' side, one user stated, "Mexicans want the n-word pass so bad" whereas, one fan showed his support to the Mexicans and commented, "Blacks can't even unify themselves. Do away with labels and you'll find that your group will grow exponentially. Fight the system. Not each other."

One user said, "Arent Mexicans Spanish? Weren’t the Spanish the worst slave traders of all?" and another other said, "Never heard a Mexican say blacks & Latino the same."

Waka Flocka Flame and DJ Akademiks both have verified accounts on the site. The images posted by both artistes got close to 30K likes each. Followers also stormed Twitter with their honest and unbiased opinions. Taking to the micro-blogging site, one user said, "We been saying this but little do y'all know there are actually a lot of racist mexicans."



 

Expressing his point on the matter, one user brutally stated, "Same with black peeps... just gotta weed out the dummies ya know? Peace."



 

With an intention to spread love and peace in all the communities, one follower asked, "Why just Mexican and Black? Why can't we all unite together?"



 

On the other hand, one user gave it a funny twist and posted, "Come together for what? A restaurant idea?"



 

DJ Akademiks, who has 3.4 million fans on his official Instagram account, left the matter in his follower's hands which is clear by the caption he posted on the screenshot of the text image. He stated, "Faxx or fiction??"

Waka Flocka Flame and DJ Akademiks are not new to stirring up controversies. In the past, both the artistes have been slammed on social media on different occasions. 

From passing comments on R Kelly to slurring racial comments in the past, Flocka has been part of many controversies whereas Akademiks is known for his loud mouth comments on social media.
