Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, is all set to celebrate his first birthday in May — and all eyes are keen to see Queen Elizabeth II's present. Does she have a special gift planned for her great-grandson yet?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son Archie was born on May 6 last year and even though, the toddler is in Canada, the Queen just might join the birthday celebrations.

“The Queen has set her sights on a beautiful rocking horse,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. The source further added that the little one has “tons of animal books and fluffy toys at home.”

After his birth, the former 'Suits' star said, “He has the sweetest temperament,” and added, “He’s really calm. He’s been the dream.” The Duke, meanwhile, said, “As every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon. This has been the most amazing experience I could possibly imagine.”

In just a few months, the baby seems to have gone miles ahead in learning to walk and read. “He’s a strong baby and you can tell he’s super smart,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He can sit up without support and roll over, and he’s almost crawling. He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying!”

Moreover, the same report said that his first word could be "Dada"! “When Harry walks into the room, Archie gets so excited, he puts his arms out — his way of saying, ‘Pick me up!’ You can tell Archie’s going to be a social butterfly. He’s at his happiest when he’s around people.”

As Harry and Meghan have stepped down from their royal duties, Elizabeth is “heartbroken over the thought of not getting to see her great-grandson,” a source told Us Weekly earlier this month. “The queen would love to have a relationship with Archie, but it’s looking unlikely that will ever happen.”

In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, Meghan is taking extra care of her little one. Reportedly, her staff has been given strict instructions to wear latex gloves. Nevertheless, a report also says that Prince Harry feels “helpless” and is worried about the health of his 71-year-old father, Prince Charles, and his 93-year-old grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who has retreated to Windsor Castle.

A close friend told DailyMail, "Meghan said they are grateful, especially Harry, that they could spend time with his family before all this insanity began," and added, "Meghan said [Harry] has been in contact with the both his father and grandmother. He urged them to stay safe and to take extra precautions." The insider also added that he is 'grateful' he got to spend time with his family 'before all this insanity began.”'The same report adds that Prince Harry's absence from his wider family has left the Queen feeling “very sad”.

The friend added, “Meghan said just because they are isolating themselves, it doesn’t mean they can’t help. They aren’t just sitting around at home doing nothing… Meghan told her inner circle that what's happening in the world right now is a mental-health crisis. She said they are working with a mental-health nonprofit to create some sort of online support system for those most vulnerable, like new mothers suffering from postpartum depression.”
