'Protect free speech': Internet agrees as Megyn Kelly backs X and Elon Musk against 'vile' and 'dishonest' Media Matters

Megyn Kelly showed her support for X and Elon Musk as she shared a post from the platform's blog

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: X, formerly known as Twitter, recently made a statement on their official blog about a media watchdog group, Media Matters for America, about a story posted that “completely misrepresented” the real user experience on the social media platform. The blog called this story another attempt to “undermine freedom of speech” and mislead advertisers.

In addition to this, Elon Musk, the owner of X Corp announced on the platform that when the court opens on Monday, X Corp will be filing a “thermonuclear” lawsuit against Media Matters for the “fraudulent attack.”

Former Fox News anchor and podcast host Megyn Kelly also took to X to speak on the matter as she backed Musk and X in her statement.

On X, Megyn Kelly shared the blog post, ‘Stand with X to protect free speech’, and wrote, “The vile, disgusting, dishonest Media Matters is trying to take down X & @elonmusk.”

She added, “They cannot STAND the existence of even one platform that the hard left does not control. It’s important that X survive. Don’t fall for the MM hit job.”

On the social media platform, Elon Musk also shared news about the lawsuit against Media Matters, “The split second court opens on Monday, X Corp will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and ALL those who colluded in this fraudulent attack on our company.”

Musk also added that he will be suing “their board, their donors, their network of dark money, all of them…”

People stand in support of Elon Musk after Megyn Kelly backs X

Following Megyn Kelly’s statement on X as she showed her support for Elon Musk and X, the internet was quick to respond as they stood with Musk.

One user wrote, “I stand with Elon and this platform,” and another said, “I stand with Elon. We will not allow this strong first amendment platform to be targeted.”

“I think they’ve messed with the wrong rich guy,” wrote one user. A fourth person said, “I upgraded my X account to Premium+ just to help in my own small way.”

People continued to extend their support to X and Musk, as one user wrote, “Protect free speech! Stand with X!” and another wrote, “I stand with X.”
