Mama Jonas gifted Chopra earrings from French luxury jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels and it cost a whopping $79,500!
While Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are busy with their wedding festivities which are still going on, we have come to know of one really extravagant wedding presents that the bride has received for the occasion. According to the Bombay Times, Chopra was gifted a pair of earrings by her mother-in-law, Denise Jonas, and the sparkling diamonds in it can blind almost anyone.
Mama Jonas gifted Chopra earrings from French luxury jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, which cost a whopping $79,500, at the couple's mehendi ceremony which took place on November 29 at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhavan Palace hotel. The earrings have been dubbed as the 'snowflake earrings', and according to the Van Cleef & Arpels website, they are set in yellow gold, 'with diamonds of exceptional quality, giving each petal a unique purity and brightness.'
The stunning piece is said to weigh roughly 6.7 karats and reportedly features 170 stones embedded in them. Chopra and Jonas are currently having their Hindu wedding ceremony at the same Jodhpur venue, and are supposed to hold two wedding receptions in Mumbai and Delhi over the next few days. The couple posted pictures from their sangeet and mehendi ceremonies on Instagram, right after news of their western wedding came out in the open. Dressed in a bright, colorful lehenga, Chopra can be seen smiling through all the pictures, clearly showing how good a time she had at the pre-wedding festivities.
Chopra's mehendi ceremony, of which both she and Jonas posted pictures, saw 'Game of Thrones' star Sophie Turner, Chopra's sister Parineeti, as well as Denise Miller Jonas enjoying themselves thoroughly. The pictures for the mehendi were taken by Joseph Radhik, a celebrated wedding videographer who has previously photographed actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli during their wedding in Italy.

One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.
The attire of both the bride and groom have already caught the eye of the fashion-conscious fans who soon got down to dissecting what the two wore. Chopra wore an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gown, with the designer revealing on Instagram that Chopra's "fabulously folksy, multi-hued organdy ensemble" was "inspired by a vintage AJSK collection."
As for the couple's sangeet ceremony, Chopra donned a stunning sequined Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree in gold and silver, while her beau was seen in an open midnight blue sherwani that boasted of a silk threading detail for the occasion. The pictures capture the overall festive vibe of the pre-wedding ceremony, and also gave fans a glimpse of all the fun and frolic that the guests had.

The bride performed at the function with her mother, Madhu Chopra, while Jonas literally set the stage on fire with his dance performance. He was also spotted doing the signature step from 'Gallan Goodiyan', a song from Chopra's bollywood movie 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. Chopra's sister Parineeti was also seen performing on a song for the sangeet, since both the bride and groom's family members took it upon themselves to recreate the couple's journey up to their wedding through their performances.
“It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” Chopra wrote on Instagram along with a series of videos and photos from the big night.

It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.. #grateful @nickjonas
