'Women supporting women': Priyanka Chopra supports Harvey Weinstein's ex by wearing Marchesa gown

Priyanka Chopra is ready to take a firm stand for what she believes is right. The 'Quantico' actress defended her decision to wear a Marchesa gown to her bridal shower, which took place on Sunday, ahead of her upcoming nuptials to fiance Nick Jonas, it is being reported.
The happy bride-to-be showed up at the Tiffany & Co. venue in a beautiful and ethereal feathered bridal-like white dress designed by shamed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife Georgina Chapman.
Chopra said that Chapman, who left the media mogul in 2017 after numerous allegations of sexual assault against him, was "a friend of hers", adding that it was wrong to blame Weinstein's wrongdoings on a "self-made woman."
Speaking about the fashion designer, the Indian beauty said, "Georgina’s a friend of mine, and she has been. And it’s not her fault." She later added, "And I don’t think it’s right to take it out on a self-made woman what somebody in her life did. That’s the wrong attitude."

Moreover, Chopra just couldn't get enough of her dress, and she continued to gush about the white beauty in all its glory. "That was a beautiful gown and deserved to be worn by a bride-to-be. And it made me feel like a princess. It was the right choice."
Sunday saw the 'Exotic' songstress put on a show-stopping preview to her pending nuptials at her bridal shower at the Blue Box Cafe inside Tiffany's flagship store in Midtown Manhattan. Reports claim that the grand bash was thrown by bridesmaids Mubina Rattonsey and Anjula Acharia and included Chopra's mom Madhu Chopra.
The star-studded bridal shower saw Chopra's future sister-in-law Danielle Jonas (who is married to Kevin Jonas) as well as pals Lupita Nyong'o and Kelly Ripa, as per reports. Earlier that same day, the actress had teased a preview of her hair and makeup for the day while her friends posed along with her. "My girls r in town!" she captioned the Instagram snap, with the hashtags #anyreasontoparty and #preweddingcelebrations.
Reports suggest that Jonas and Chopra are slated to tie the knot in December this year. A source reportedly claimed, "The wedding is happening in India." The insider further added, "Priyanka is having a really good time planning the wedding because it's a mix of Indian and American styles and customs, which she knows so much about."
