Now that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are a married couple, the duo seem to have lifted the ban on their pre-wedding celebration photographs. The couple posted pictures from their sangeet and mehendi ceremonies on Instagram, right after news of their western wedding came out in the open.

Dressed in a bright, colorful lehenga, Chopra can be seen smiling through all the pictures, clearly showing how good a time she had at the pre-wedding festivities. Chopra's mehendi ceremony, of which both she and Jonas posted pictures, saw 'Game of Thrones' star Sophie Turner, Chopra's sister Parineeti, as well as Denise Miller Jonas enjoying themselves thoroughly. The pictures for the mehendi were taken by Joseph Radhik, a celebrated wedding videographer who has previously photographed actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli during their wedding in Italy.

The attire of both the bride and groom have already caught the eye of the fashion-conscious fans who soon got down to dissecting what the two wore. Chopra wore an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gown, with the designer revealing on Instagram that Chopra's "fabulously folksy, multi-hued organdy ensemble" was "inspired by a vintage AJSK collection."

Her jewelry was designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, crafted by Saboo for AJSK BY ABOO, and is described as "an exceptional Heirloom piece of very fine rubies collected over generations." Chopra's partner too got the luxe treatment as he wore an aqua bakhiya kurta, also by the same designer.

Nick also got a taste of the fun festivities that goes on in Indian weddings. In one of the photos from social media he can be seen hoisted on the shoulders of Chopra's relatives and clearly he looks elated as he enjoys all the attention. Chopra, meanwhile, looked glowing as she sported the intricate patterns of henna (mehendi) on her hands while Nick too sported a simple floral design on his palms since Indian weddings have a tradition of both the bride and groom applying henna on their hands before the wedding.

As for the couple's sangeet celebrations, sources told Meaww that Nick, in order to impress his now-wife, grooved to the beats of "Gallan Goodiya", a song from Chopra's Bollywood film 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. Both the bride and groom's performances were brilliantly choreographed by Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Hegde, and both parties made the function into a competition where they could be judged on their creativity.

The sangeet also saw performances by the bridal party, one of which was actress Jasmin Walia, who performed a Punjabi song for her part. She shared it as an Instagram story. As has been reported, Chopra and Nick exchanged their wedding vows in a small Christian ceremony that took place at the grounds of the Umaid Bhavan Palace Hotel in Jodhpur, India on December 1. The groom's father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr., officiated the ceremony, where the couple exchanged wedding bands made by the famed jeweler Chopard.

The bride, groom as well as the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, which included Chopra’s brother Siddharth and Jonas’ three brothers, Joe, Kevin, and Frankie, were all dressed for the special event by fashion label Ralph Lauren. Although the fashion brand does not design wedding trousseaus, Lauren reportedly made an exception for Chopra and Jonas because of an emotional connection that the couple has with the designer label.

Apart from Lauren being a close friend of the actress and the pop singer, it is also being said that the couple rocked Ralph Lauren Collection at the 2017 Met Gala, just a week after their first unofficial date. The designer was among the first few to congratulate Nick and Priyanka after their wedding. “Congratulations to Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra on their wedding in Jodhpur, India,” Lauren’s official handle said on Instagram.

In another post, they said: “Ralph Lauren is honoured to have dressed the couple — Priyanka in a custom Ralph Lauren gown and Nick in a custom Purple Label tuxedo — as well as the members of their wedding party.” Soon after the wedding, there was a spectacular display of fireworks at the palace to celebrate the event.
