'He did have a bit of guilt': Priscilla Presley reveals why Elvis Presley decided to only have one child

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Priscilla Presley shared intimate details of her marriage to Elvis Presley, revealing that he desired to have only one child.

On Friday, November 3, the 78-year-old actress shared with the crowd at the Q&E event at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas that the 'King of Rock and Roll' did not want another child due to his busy career.

Priscilla who welcomed her daughter Lisa Marie Presley in 1968 with Elvis said that he had "a very busy schedule and he did have a bit of guilt that he wasn't around that much when Lisa was younger."

"With his scheduling and his touring, he just felt he wasn't around enough to give a lot of attention to having another child," Priscilla said of the music icon not wanting to expand their family.

This candid discussion about her marriage coincides with the release of the new film 'Priscilla' which is currently in theaters via A24.

The movie directed by Oscar-winner Sofia Coppola documents the love story between Priscilla and Elvis that began in West Germany at ages 14 and 24 respectively.

The couple who first met in West Germany tied the knot in Las Vegas on May 1, 1967. Six years later, the couple split in 1973.

The screenplay of 'Priscilla' is based on Priscilla's memoir 'Elvis and Me' published in 1985.

Speaking to People, Cailee Spaeny who plays the role of Priscilla opposite Jacob Elordi's portrayal of Elvis in the biographical drama film explained her transformation into the character.

The 25-year-old actress said the movie's wardrobe, hair, and makeup teams "worked incredibly" to recreate Priscilla's iconic looks.

Spaeny further spoke about the wigs being "heavy" but it was "actually really fun" for her to get an insight into Priscilla's demeanor.

"It was a missing piece to the puzzle and was really so informative of how I was going to move at different ages and stages of her life," Spaeny said of Priscilla.

"The beehive on your head, and having heels on and little dresses, you sort of move like a doll," she added.

Before the filming, Spaeny had spent time with Priscilla and she noted, "She's a woman from a different era."

"She has, which you pick up on when you're with her, she has this softness about her. She's very delicate on the surface, but she has such fierceness in her as well," said Spaeny.
