Princess Eugenie reveals it was love at first sight with Brooksbank: 'I am so excited I'll run down the aisle'
Princess Eugenie and her fiance Jack Brooksbank will tie the knot in the second major royal wedding of this year
Wedding jitters claim many, but Princess Eugenie, it seems, is unaffected as she's ready to "run down the aisle". The ninth-in-line to the throne is all set to marry the 32-year-old drinks industry executive after dating for nearly eight years. The couple who first met in 2010 when Eugenie was 20 and Jack was 24, felt an instant attraction which she says was a "love at first sight for her" at least. On October 12, Princess Eugenie and her fiance Jack Brooksbank will tie the knot in the second major royal wedding of this year. Prince Harry and former American actress Meghan Markle tied the knot on May 19.
The Windsor castle has begun welcoming the royal guests for the wedding which will be held later today. You can watch the Live Feed here:
On the eve of her wedding, the Queen's granddaughter shared during an interview that although she's nervous about her big day, she can't wait to exchange her vows. The 28-year-old will marry the love of her life at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle at 11 am. The ceremony will be attended by many senior members of the Royal Family. Her nephew and niece, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will take over the duties as page boy and bridesmaid.
Dailymail reports that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's daughter will arrive with her father 'in the same Rolls Royce 1950 Phantom IV that the Queen lent to the now-Duchess of Sussex on her wedding day'.

The soon-to-be-married couple describes the moment they first saw each other on a ski holiday in Verbier, Switzerland and how they eventually fell in love in an interview with presenters Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford, for ITV. "We were skiing in a friend's place out in Switzerland, and [looking at Eugenie] I saw you first, didn't I? And we just stared at each other," Brooksbank said.
Eugenie picked up from here and continued: "Yes, and I thought, 'what a silly hat!'... and I thought, 'who's that?' and then you came over and shook my hand and I was all butterflies and nervous." She even recalled the moment she knew he was the one and how her mother was the first person to know. "I think I rang my mum that night and said, 'I've met this guy Jack'... and that was how I think it started."
"I remember being like, 'I really, really like this guy, I really want him to like me too,' and then you gave me this huge windscreen wiper wave and that was it, right, he likes me," Eugenie recalls.
At the time, Eugenie was studying at Newcastle and Jack was working in London, but they made the relationship work.
During a television interview with BBC, Eugenie had spilled the beans about the proposal: "The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen. I actually said, 'This is an incredible moment', and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years."
Of the proposal, Jack added that he got down on one knee and proposed without a ring! "I was over the moon. [It was a] complete surprise. But it was the perfect moment, we couldn’t be happier," he said, adding: "It was amazing. I love Eugenie so much, and we’re very happy." She later got a dazzling pink sapphire engagement ring.
We just can't wait for these lovebirds to become husband and wife!
