Princess Beatrice cancels engagement party amid fears her father Prince Andrew may be harassed by paparazzi at the venue
Princess Beatrice was forced to scrap plans of a carriage procession and live TV coverage of her royal wedding following her father Prince Andrew’s disastrous BBC interview about his friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The princess has now been forced to cancel her engagement party which was to be held at Chiltern Firehouse in London on December 18 amidst fears of the paparazzi circling the venue on the day of the party to get pictures of her father Prince Andrew.
As a result, Beatrice and her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi decided to cancel the party, according to Daily Mail.
Beatrice reportedly met Edoardo, a multi-millionaire property developer, just before her sister Eugene’s wedding.
A source close to the couple made the following statement when the couple just began dating, “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual chum. They hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together. They’ve been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad. Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time."
In September this year, Buckingham Palace announced the engagement of 31-year-old Beatrice and 37-year-old Edoardo.
Thanks to Prince Andrew, Beatrice won’t be having a lavish royal wedding like her older sister Eugene.
Eugene got married to Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The royal couple’s wedding was telecast live on ITV and the whole world watched them being carried around the Castle by four Windsor Grey horses in a Scottish stagecoach.
Although Beatrice won’t be having live coverage or carriage, rumors are ripe that she might still get married at St. George’s Chapel.
Daily Mail also reported that the couple changed their party date so that Prince Andrew can attend it without drawing any attention from the paparazzi.
