In the soon-to-be-published memoir titled 'The Glossy Years', Conde Naste chairman Nicholas Coleridge reveals fascinating details about Princess Diana's life. For instance, he revealed that Prince William's classmates teased him about Princess Diana's breast size when her topless picture scandal broke in 1996.

According to a report in Daily Mail, Coleridge says in his memoir that the late Diana visited him for a lunch at Vogue House. This was when the scandal had gained momentum and she was in the eye of the media storm. She had apparently revealed to Coleridge that Prince William, who was 14 at that time and studying at Eton, was distressed after being teased by his friends and asked her to cut short her visit to his school. She then went on to reveal how her son was being teased and even asked Coleridge whether he thought she was 'too small'.

Diana called Coleridge the week that pictures of her sunbathing in a Spanish Patio was published and asked him, "Nicholas, can I ask you something?"

She continued, "Please be truthful. Did you see the photograph of me in the Daily Mirror? The topless one? He (Prince William) was so upset. He said some of the boys were teasing him saying my t**s are too small. Are my breasts too small, do you think?"

He was breathless and turned " red as a guardsman's tunic" but reassured her and said that her breasts were perfect, and told her not to worry. Interestingly, Prince William's wife Kate Middleton's topless pictures were published in French magazine Closer in 2012. In response to this, he sought compensation of  £1.3million ($1.6 million) from the publication.

When William spoke about these pictures being published, he said that they were "all the more painful" considering it brought back memories about the scandal that involved his mother and how she died in an accident after being chased by the paparazzi in Paris. Later in 2017, the publication was ordered to pay the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge £92,000 ($115,000 approx) in compensation.
