The royal family was left feeling "concerned" following the uncharacteristically candid and highly emotional ITV documentary on Duke and Duchess of Sussex—Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—that aired on Sunday, October 20.

On Monday, a source close to the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, revealed that the public scrutiny is taking a toll on Harry's family. "It would be very difficult for anybody to watch that and not feel compassion for them. Whatever is going on is taking a personal toll on them. That, of course, would cause concern," the source told the Times.

It was also reported that William and Harry had spoken to each other privately after the documentary aired.

While describing how William had felt at seeing his younger sibling upset, the source revealed, "He is concerned, as anyone would be watching the documentary".

Insiders also told BBC that William had been 'worried' about his brother and is hoping that he is 'all right'. He also thinks that Harry and Meghan wanting a six-week break from their royal duties is a good thing given that they are in a 'fragile place'.

In the documentary, Harry opened up about his mental health and his relationship with his older brother. He shared that they have 'good days' and 'bad days', and are operating on 'different paths'.

Mother of one, Meghan Markle, spoke about being warned about marrying into the royal family as Harry said he needed 'constant management' to deal with his high-pressure life.

Harry and Meghan's interviews aired on Sunday night and ended up triggering a massive public debate about their role in the royal family.

Many people were concerned for their well being while others suggested that the couple needs to stop 'whingeing'.

The one-hour-long documentary titled 'Harry and Meghan: An African Journey' featured presenter Tom Bradby following the young couple and their son Archie as they toured Africa.

In a moving moment from the documentary, 38-year-old Meghan confessed that she struggled with becoming a new mother under the spotlight and shared: "Not many people have asked if I'm OK."
