Sweet moment Prince William and Kate Middleton receive flowers from young fan dressed as Grenadier Guard
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: The Prince and Princess of Wales expressed their gratitude to an 8-year-old boy for posing as a member of the Royal Guard of Buckingham Palace to welcome them during their visit to Boston.
Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Greentown Labs in Somerville on Thursday, December 1 while on a 3-day tour of Massachusetts in preparation for the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony on Friday. Following the visit, 8-year-old Henry Dynov-Teixeira from Somerville approached the royal couple outside. He was wearing a miniature version of the red costume worn by the King's guard, complete with a bearskin hat.

Henry wore the outfit because he had developed an obsession with everything royal after visiting Buckingham Palace earlier this year and getting to see the changing of the guard. The thrilled child presented William and Kate with a bouquet of flowers and promptly pulled a salute as the royal couple bent to shake his hand and speak with the young admirer.
"First of all it was crazy meeting the prince and princess. It was crazy. I wasn't actually that nervous now that I think about it when I actually did it. They said 'Oh my goodness, thank you so much.' They said they loved the costume, like everybody else. It was like absolutely insane because it was my first time meeting the royal family," Henry told Daily Mail.
Henry's mother, Melissa Teixeira, 42, added, "That was surreal, that was really spectacular. It was a real experience what a beautiful day in Somerville. I think they were surprised to see Henry as a British guard. The Princess is terrific with children of course. She just gave him great compliments and he gave her compliments so it was a really nice experience. Henry did get to mention his visit to London and he asked where George was and she shared that he was in school. She asked if he should be in school and he said yes - and laughed of course."
Henry, who attends the private British School of Boston joked that he loves the British family so much because he "wants to live in Buckingham Palace" which was "really nice". His mother said, "He goes to a British school so naturally we wanted to check out the UK and when we visited we were really excited about the changing of the guard. We think the royal family are wonderful people. We follow them as much as we can and they've never before been to Sommerville."
