Snoop Dogg's 48th birthday gift is designer flower bouquet with rolled-up cannabis joints
His friends know him best! As Snoop Dogg turned 48 on October 20, his best pals gave him a birthday present that no one more than the hip-hop singer could appreciate - a bouquet of flowers topped off with 48 cannabis joints.
It was reported that Snoop was pleasantly surprised by the massive flower arrangement which worked in the same number of rolled-up weed as his age into the display. It was nothing less than a work of art, made by the craftsmanship of cannabis floral designer and artist, Leslie K Monroy of Flowers on Flowers.
Leslie told TMZ that after Snoop's weed company, Merry Jane, saw some of her work with marijuana and joints, they wanted to get their hands on one of her enormous artwork for the man of the hour.
While half of the pre-rolled joints in the arrangements were filled with Indica, the other half had Sativa. In addition, the bouquet also featured four small weed clones and eight tall clones, along with the normal plants.
Earlier this month, Snoop went on The Howard Stern Show and admitted that he had employed a "professional blunt roller" whom he paid between $40,000 and $50,000 annually for always providing him with ganja joints whenever he felt like smoking up.
"That motherf**ker is like Lurch from the Addams Family. 'You rang?'" Snoop joked on the show. "That motherf**ker’s timing is impeccable."
Comedian Seth Rogen, a cannabis aficionado himself, said that he had observed the rapper's employee at work and that he "knows how to gauge the look on someone’s face when it seems like they want a blunt."
"If they do, he gives you one", he recalled.
When Snoop was asked by Howard if the primary occupation of the particular employee was to roll joints, he replied, "That’s his J.O.B. - his occupation. On his resume, it says, 'What do you do?' [And he writes] 'I’m a blunt roller. P.B.R. - professional blunt roller.'"
