Will Meghan Markle and Harry meet Prince Philip? Controversial Oprah interview could strain their relationship
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's no-holds-barred Oprah Winfrey interview has left everyone with more questions than answers. One of the many being: Will the couple meet with Prince Philip after making explosive claims? While speculation surrounding the nature of the relationship Sussexes and Royals share continues to be on the rise, CBS co-host Gayle King updated that Prince Harry was able to start a conversation with father Prince Charles and older brother Prince William since the interview aired.
While the talks were not "productive" it opens up a possibility for either end to get a dialogue rolling about how the chat show has left a trail of repercussions in its wake. Even so, a "meeting" with the Duke of Edinburgh seems unlikely given it's only been a day since he left the hospital after being under medical care for nearly a month.

The Duke's post-surgery recovery at Windsor Castle has begun and is a piece of refreshing news for the Palace and its loyalists. His return home has sparked an interesting conversation across social media and that says a lot about the kind of impact the tell-all CBS interview had on the world. Some wanted the former Royals to apologize for the damage done.
"Finally some delightful news from the palace! Prince Philip released from hospital and is on the mend, what more can you ask for at 99 years old?! Pity he‘s going home to such turmoil, although Harry must be breathing a sigh of relief, he didn’t want that on his conscience," one wrote, while another shared: "If Harry & Megan attempt to speak to Prince Phillip, I hope they will sincerely apologise for the damage they have brought upon their family. To act as if even slightly concerned for his health, after airing Oprah whilst he was hospitalised, would just be too crass for words.
"She’s a lying manipulative social climber eventually this will go pop as if the Arch bishop would go behind the Queens back who is the head of our Church of England all this whilst Prince Phillip has been ill in hospital absolutely disgraceful behaviour from Harry an MM," a tweet read. Another user expressed: "Did they know Prince Phillip was coming out of hospital? If so, then Meghan would not like his getting more media coverage than her..hence the 'leak'. Is this another tactic by MM to separate Harry from the family, as it is now clear, any conversation will be repeated to Press."

Even though it was both Meghan and Harry who gave the interview, it was the Duchess who took most of the hits, especially after the Queen responded to her racism claims in an official statement that read: “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
