A body language expert has claimed that during the Oprah Winfrey interview, Prince Harry wanted to vent out more anger towards Prince Charles, but controlled himself. The March 7 interview shocked the world as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed some shocking details about their life inside the palace.

From mental health and facing racism to Meghan Markle thinking about taking her life while being pregnant with Archie, the couple bared it all in front of the queen of chat shows. Harry also alleged that his father, Prince Charles "stopped taking my calls" after he stepped down from senior royal duties and shifted to the other side of the ocean with his wife and their firstborn.

However, according to body language expert Andrea Gordon, there was more that the 36-year-old said about his father. She told Express, “‘Dad stopped taking my calls’ — this is delivered as a rehearsed piece, what in comedy is called the rule of three, the rapid-fire delivery with the deadpan face is meant for maximum impact and for Oprah to pick up on the last line: ‘Dad stopped taking my calls’. She does... Harry looks down for quite a while before answering.”

Gordon continued: “We tend to look down when we are upset, or trying to hide something emotional. People are often thinking and feeling unpleasant emotions when they are in the process of staring at the ground. His microexpression of lip compression and knitted brows when looking up to answer gives us the glimpse of anger he feels towards father, but also that lip compression – he’s controlling, holding back from saying too much.”

The expert also commented on the hand gestures of Harry and Meghan. She said, “They are gripping each other's hands with fingers spread and entwined, as opposed to relaxed hand-holding. This grip shows both intensity of feeling and of the situation they are in. Most of the time Meghan’s hand is on top which shows dominance. Also, there is a nurturing sense to Meghan’s handhold over Harry, a reassurance of being safe, I got your back.”

This comes after Royal commentator Katie Nicholl said Harry emailed his father explaining his reasons for doing the bombshell interview. Nicholl claimed, “Harry was emailing his father to justify why he and Meghan had done the interview. Charles was said to be ‘in a state of despair’ according to a friend.”

Also, a source before the interview aired stated, “I know he has spoken to the Queen and he has been in regular email contact with his father. Depending on what he and Meghan say, this could be very damaging for family relations.”

The soon-to-be-father of a baby girl attracted a lot of attention after doing the two-hour special interview along with his wife. Commenting on Harry’s statement against Charles,  royal author Sarah Gristwood said, "For Prince Harry to say that he felt let down by his father must have been a difficult thing to say and hard for Charles to hear."

"Now, just at a time when by and large Charles had started to look like a more popular King than one would have guessed, here’s a major blow to his reputation. It’s hard to know if Harry is aware of the damage this has done. Did he actually intend to cast this damaging light on his father and his family? We don’t know," Sarah added.
