The highly demanding royal-duties appear to have gotten to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as the couple is reportedly planning to take some time off from their royal duties for some quality family time. This decision for the time-off comes soon after the royal couple concluded their ten-day official tour of southern Africa.

The Sunday Times reported the Duke of Sussex’s desire to leave the UK and relocate to Cape Town in South Africa, which according to him is “an amazing place to be able to base ourselves”. But the Duke realizes that it would be a “very difficult move” if not an impossible one.

A royal source reportedly told the Sunday Times that, “The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time."

The couple will be splitting time between the UK and the USA during their break. It is believed that the couple will be spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Los Angeles with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. This would also be their son Archie’s first visit to his mother’s homeland. The couple will be back in the UK in time for Archie’s first Christmas, which they will be celebrating with the Queen and the rest of the royal family at Sandringham in Norfolk.

Snippets from the royal couple’s tour of Africa will be broadcast as an hour-long documentary, which will be premiering on ITV on Sunday, October 20, and be presented by Prince Harry’s close friend Tom Bradby.

Ahead of the documentary’s premiere, Bradby revealed that the couple appeared “vulnerable and bruised”.  The Daily Mail reported a few other bits from the documentary, such as Meghan’s feeling of vulnerability during her pregnancy.

During an emotional interview for the documentary, Meghan admitted feeling 'vulnerable' during her pregnancy and thanked Bradby for asking about how she was feeling. "Thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I'm OK, but it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes," she told Bradby.
