Prince Harry has been leaning on his elder brother Prince William as he struggles to settle in Los Angeles, California after Megxit, a source has revealed. The source said that the Duke of Sussex has been taking advice from his big brother as he settles in his new life with wife Meghan Markle and son Archie, while facing challenges, including security issues that celebrities face in Los Angeles.

“Moving to a completely different country is never easy for anyone, including Harry. And he wasn’t expecting to be faced with so many obstacles,” the insider told Us Weekly. The source added that the 35-year-old had “unrealistic expectations” of what life in Los Angeles would be and “saw L.A. through rose-colored glasses”.

The insider mentioned that the Duke of Cambridge has advised his younger brother to “return to London or move elsewhere, somewhere safer.” “He’s concerned about his brother’s well-being and safety.” It has also been reported that the Queen and Harry are also in contact with each other during this transitional period. She has “been reaching out to Harry to see if he’s OK and has offered to help out if needed.”

Harry and Meghan stepped down from senior royal duties in late March after announcing their plan in early January. At the time, the pair said their decision came “after many months of reflection and internal discussions.” They initially shifted to Canada ahead of their final days as royals, however, later moved to Los Angeles before the two countries’ borders were sealed due to coronavirus lockdown.

The couple is currently staying at an ultra-luxury Beverly Hills mansion that belongs to Tyler Perry. Perry's mansion, estimated at $18 million, boasts of eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and is located on 22 acres on top of a hill in the exclusive Beverly Ridge Estates guard-gated community. “Harry and Meghan were really excited to move to LA. The timing is tricky of course, but this is something they’ve been hoping for and seriously planning for several months now,” a source earlier told Us Weekly.

Meanwhile, a royal author in late May claimed that it would be tough for Harry to thrive in the US. Tom Quinn shared that the British army veteran will struggle more while settling down in the foreign land than the ‘Suits’ actress and added that he believes Harry will “be like a lost soul” in the US.

Speaking on Channel 5’s new documentary, 'Harry & Meghan: Two Troubled Years', Quinn said: “It will be far worse for Harry in America than Meghan in England. Because he’s not as tough as she is.”

While Daisy McAndrew, a journalist, said in the documentary that Harry will miss his military work the most in the future. “When he did leave, he clearly wasn’t ready or willing or able to completely sever those ties. Which is why he’s continued, not just with honorary titles but he wanted to really continue to support injured serviceman both with the walking charity and the Invictus Games,” McAndrew told the program, adding: “That has really brought him a lot of happiness. I think that’s what he’s going to miss the most now that he’s not in the UK.”
