Prince Harry was obsessed with Jennifer Aniston after her nude magazine cover, thought she was 'princess material', claims new book
A young Prince Harry was reportedly "obsessed" with Jennifer Aniston after seeing her naked body splashed on the cover of GQ magazine, according to a new book.
It is further being said that the then 24-year-old royal began texting the 'Friends' actress and even described her as "princess material".
The author claims that the 'Just Go With It' star's racy 2009 photo shoot where she stripped down to a tie blew Harry away. But even though the future Duke of Sussex sought to pursue the Golden Globe-winning Hollywood star, she reportedly shied away from a date because of the 16-year age gap.
Ian Halperin, the author of an upcoming book about the American actress, writes: "He told a close friend his favorite actress was Jen and got her number. He texted her and sent emojis," as reported by the Sunday Mirror. "One source told me Jen was aware of Harry's crush but didn't want to lead him on because of the age difference."
However, Harry did eventually end up finding his 'Rachel' as his current wife Meghan Markle's 'Suits' character also went by the name Rachel just like like Aniston's character on 'Friends'.
According to the author, Princess Diana, Harry's mother, is thought to be one of Aniston's most important role models.
Back in the year 2009, when the Prince first developed an interest in Aniston, she was not thought to have been romantically linked to anyone.
At the time, it had reportedly been four years since her split from former husband and fellow Hollywood star Brad Pitt.
In 2015, the 'Friends With Money' actress once again tied the knot, this time with American actor and producer Justin Theroux, but the couple divorced two years later.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is now happily married to wife Meghan Markle, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have even begun to embrace parenthood since the birth of their royal baby boy Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The royal couple made their most recent joint appearance at the Trooping the Colors ceremony held last week which was the first time Meghan was seen at an official royal engagement after giving birth.
The Duchess of Sussex is believed to be on maternity leave since May 6 and it is being said that the royal would be ready to join her official duties by autumn this year.
