Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share adorable new photo of Archie cuddling his dad to mark the New Year
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a rare photo of their baby son Archie in their New Year's greetings.
The 7-month-old looks a lot like his mother Meghan Markle and shares some of her stunning features. The picture was shared on the Sussexroyal Instagram handle on December 31 as part of a reflective video on Sussex's 2019.
Archie can be seen all bundled up in a warm coat and a beanie while posing alongside Prince Harry who is seen smiling and looking at his son. The post had been captioned, "2019 in review. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and thanking you for your continued support!"
"We’ve loved meeting so many of you from around the world and can’t wait to meet many more of you next year. We hope 2020 brings each of you health and continued happiness," the post continued. The couple also had Coldplay's song 'Clocks' playing with the video. The family spent their Christmas break in Canada.
As reported by ET, a spokesperson for the Sussexes had shared, "As has been reported, their Royal Highnesses, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex, are spending private family time in Canada. The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both."
The only other details provided were that Harry is a "frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to the duchess for seven years before she became a member of the royal family. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son."
We had previously reported Meghan and Harry had a rather difficult 2019 and had opened up about their fragile mental state in ITV's documentary 'Harry and Meghan: An African Journey'. The couple had revealed in the documentary that they were struggling to deal with the heavy public scrutiny and negative press by British tabloids. Meghan admitted that she was "not really ok" and confessed that she and Harry were "existing, not living".
The pair then decided to take around 6 weeks off from all royal duties.
