A family on television
Gabriella Boudreaux, the granddaughter of Birdie Moore, is offered a deal to stay out of jail when she is arrested for burglary. She has to stay with her famous grandmother in Chigao. The two didn't get along very well from the start. Bridie is a successful businesswoman with her bakery and a reality star. She and her son Gabe are in charge of their show.
When Ella enters their lives, she is forced to work at the bakery and be on television to embrace her mother's pie recipe. In the beginning, she takes on the deal to stay out of trouble but later starts to care for Birdie and her work. Their bond slowly starts to develop, and Ella gets a share in the bakery. The grandmother and granddaughter reconciled their lost relationship. But there is a dark secret hidden behind all the faces on camera. Gabe, the all-good son, is not the way he looks. He is behind on his mother's property and not quite happy with Ella getting the share of what is his.

Mills doesn't fail her fans with yet another amazing performance. Her role as Birdie Moore, a strong, independent woman aiming to protect her family at any cost, is portrayed magnificently. The way she handles situations and differs her life from TV shows her strong personality. A person with pride lets her family down and wrongs her rights.
