Katy Perry is taking extra precautions amid the coronavirus outbreak since she is expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom. According to a source, the 35-year-old "seems more cautious since she is pregnant” and has quarantined herself at home as the COVID-19 is spreading rapidly around the world. The insider also revealed she is spending time with Bloom as they wait to welcome their firstborn.

Perry has earlier revealed in a live Instagram video about her pregnancy. She said it was “probably the longest secret” she has “ever had to keep.” The 35-year-old further said, "Let's call it a reveal," adding that she's due this summer.

“Orlando is back at home. He isn’t sick. Katy is well too. They will spend time at home together and monitor the situation. They are happy to be back in the U.S. They have no plans to work for now and will instead lay low,” revealed the source to PEOPLE.

Bloom has recently returned from the Czech Republic after production on his Amazon series, ‘Carnival Row’, was stopped due to the rapid spread of the virus. The 43-year-old actor has shared a note for his followers on his Instagram account, telling them about his safe return. He said: “Hey guys, thank you all for you [sic] concern. Just to be clear, our production of @carnivalrow season 2 was suspended by @legendary and @amazonprimevideo as a wise precautionary measure due to the events unfolding globally regarding COVID-19.”

The actor added that there have been no reported cases of the virus on his set or on the production. “I feel very grateful to have arrived safely home to my family. Be safe and wash your hands!” reminded Bloom to his fans as he ended his Instagram story.

Meanwhile, in related news, the pandemic has put Perry and Bloom in a fix. The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019 and was planning to tie the knot soon in Japan. However, because of the lockdowns in major cities across the globe due to COVID-19, they are thinking about another option.

“Katy doesn’t want to postpone her wedding, but it’s something that is looking more and more likely by the day. It’s unfortunate, but she’s taking it in stride. She’s told friends that they might just do something private at home and then have the big celebration in Japan when this all calms down,” a source told HollywoodLife.
