Eva Warner, a transgender Antifa rioter based out of Portland, was charged with assaulting police officers last year. However, there was much outrage when court documents revealed that all charges against Warner had been dropped after she completed 30 hours of community services.

Earlier known as Joshua Warner, Eva from  Beaverton, Oregon, was charged with felony civil disorder in September of 2020. On August 8, 2020, sometime in the evening, authorities declared a riot at the Portland Police Association office situated on North Lombard Street in Portland.

This happened after Antifa members broke down the windows and set the office on fire. The Antifa rioters also used large vehicles and dumpsters to block traffic.

Not just Portland, mass protests broke out in many major cities that summer, resulting in violence. The protests were in  response to the killing of George Floyd by the police in Minneapolis.

The Portland police said earlier that Warner had pointed a high-powered laser straight in the eyes of some law enforcement officers who were just trying to tame the crowd. Eva resisted arrest and prompted these officers to use force, as reported by the Department of Justice. Moreover, a laser pointer was found on Eva.

Warner was charged on multiple counts including intentionally obstructing, impeding, interfering with law enforcement officers engaged in official duties. However, later Warner was released without bail.

One week later Eva was arrested for the third time in connection with a riot again. This time, Warner was charged with interference with a peace officer and disorderly conduct of second degree. Again, Warner was released without any bail.

On September 2, 2020, in an apartment in south east Portland, Warner was arrested by US Marshals without incident. Eva appeared before a US Magistrate Judge in court and the following day was released without any further court proceedings. It was reported that Warner may be looking at a five-year sentence in federal prison if convicted.

The following day, Michael H Simon, US District Court Judge dismisse Warner's indictment 'with prejudice'.

It was also reported that Warner's attorney was not available and did not respond; there was no response from Acting  US Attorney for the District of Oregon Thomas S Ratcliffe as well as the Portland Police Association.

Portland Police refrained from commenting on Warner's case as they only investigate crime, and making arrests is the role of the district attorney.
