Is Al Roker sick again? Fans concerned after star looks frail in latest TV appearance
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans have started to worry regarding the health of news presenter and journalist, Al Roker. The present weather reporter of NBC's Today appeared to be in a frail state as he returned in front of the camera this week. Roker has been very quick to get back to his role at NBC's flagship news program after his recovery from his health crisis.
The broadcasting legend took to Instagram to announce his return on Monday, January 30. His post read, "Let's get ready for NBCnightlynews with @lesterholtnbc talking an icy mess and artic air then check out @topstorynbc with @llamasnbc on @NBCnewsnow at 7pm." He recorded a short video that showed him walking through the news production of the studio. He was sprucely dressed and was ready for action.

However, in spite of his classy dressing, the 68-year-old did appear frail. "Well good evening everybody I am over here in studio 1A and we are about to do NBC nightly news", he said during the video. "We've got everybody hanging out and we are getting ready for the news. We are going to make sure you have everything you need to know." He continued to discuss what was coming up on the later programs including the harsh climatic conditions that the US was facing.
What happened to Al Roker?
Al Rocker announced in January that he was dealing with a "frightening" health scare. The beloved news presenter was hospitalized on November 22 last year after blood clots were discovered in his legs and lungs. He disclosed the health complications that he had to face including a grueling seven-hour surgery he underwent to "correct a bunch of internal stuff." Now, much to the delight of his fans, Al has taken on more projects recently while recovering from his health problems. He announced on Instagram that he is now the virtual teacher of the broadcast performance class at SUNY Oswego.

'We love you so much, Al'
While Al asked the viewers to stay safe in the Instagram video, many were asking him to do the same as well. One Instagram user wrote, "Wait! is this following your doctor's orders... please, please don't over do it." Another commented, "Please take care of yourself, you are sunshine of news". One wrote, "Don't be overdoing everything... pace yourself," while another added, "We love you so much, Al. Today and NBC isn’t the same goodness when you’re not there." "Was cool to see your happy face tonight in prime time!", wrote another Instagram user.
