Piers Morgan has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over their recent announcement of launching a new non-profit organization.

The 55-year-old host of 'Good Morning Britain' did not hold back on Twitter, slamming the couple's new endeavor amid the novel coronavirus crisis.

This comes just days after Harry and Meghan announced the launch of  Archewell, a well-being empire that is named after their son Archie, which is reportedly designed to run emotional support groups and multi-media education programs, Mirror reports.

"Total number of f*cks the British public give about these two announcing their 'plans' from Hollywood right now: 0," Piers tweeted, with his followers rushing to agree with his remarks just moments later.

"I agree Mr. Morgan! The world has been brought to their knees and they think we give a wild flip about their charity name. So obtuse," one commented. "Bit of shameless self-promotion during an earth-wide pandemic. Jesus," another added.

"No one cares. Boris Johnson is fighting for his life, American is on its knees, developing countries are bracing to get slaughtered but we are supposed to care about an announcement of a charitable foundation??!! The Sussexes have NO perspective," a third user chimed in. "They are the very last people on our minds," a fourth posted.

According to Harry and Meghan, Archewell was created "to do something of meaning, to do something that matters". "Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told the Telegraph.

"Before SussexRoyal, came the idea of 'Arche' - the Greek word meaning 'source of action'," they explained. "We connected to this concept for the charitable organization we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son's name. To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon." "We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right," the couple added.

Piers had recently attacked Harry urging him to decide whether he wants to be a senior royal or just another "gas-guzzling celebrity". This came after Harry insisted on September 3 that he spends "99 percent of his life traveling the world by commercial aircraft" in response to outrage over his use of four private jets in just 11 days over the summer. The 34-year-old prince said he only "occasionally" used private jets to "keep his family safe."

However, the British journalist and TV presenter gave Harry an ultimatum that he must choose whether he and Meghan want to be members of the royal family or want to behave like some hypocritical A-list celebrities.

"I've got no problem with royals using private jets, I've done all of that myself," Morgan said. "My problem comes when they're trying to be the high priest and priestess of environmental preaching. You can't do both," he insisted.
