Piers Morgan admits he 'admires' Greta Thunberg but worries about her and thinks she's being used: 'She’s highly impressive'

Piers Morgan praised and complimented climate change activist Greta Thunberg, 16, for her 'admirable passion' despite previously criticizing her.
The 'Good Morning Britain' host shocked fans and followers when he recently tweeted saying that he did not 'hate' Thunberg and found her 'passion admirable'. In the same tweet, Morgan,54, could not refrain from adding, "Albeit her rhetoric can be very hectoring & annoying".

Piers' latest comments follow him shading Thunberg when he retweeted her picture and wrote, "Congrats. Looks like you’re having a lot of fun despite we ghastly adults ruining your childhood. Will you be reaching school again any time soon?" A social media user had commented on Morgan's diss and said, "Hating on a child. Not a good look but then you are never worried what a c**t you look".
Morgan responded to this saying that he does not "hate Greta at all." However, he does think that "she's being used, and I worry about her more than her supporters seem to". Morgan had earlier said that he was worried about the kind of impact that Greta would have on other young people and said that she was being 'melodramatic' over climate change.
"Here’s my conflicted view of Greta," he shared. "She’s highly impressive, a 16-year-old girl who is so articulate, so passionate, I’ve got no problem with that and climate change is a very serious issue, I get it all. There’s something I felt very uncomfortable watching it yesterday. It was all a bit melodramatic, end of the world, apocalyptic. I wonder the impact she’s now having on young people around the world watching this who must be thinking, 'Oh my god, the world is literally about to end'. It’s not about to end," he added.
Thunberg had recently accused world leaders of stealing her childhood while she gave a speech at the UN Climate Action Summit as she slammed leaders for not doing enough to protect the environment.
