'Shamelessly deluded pair of whiny wastrels': Piers Morgan has an opinion on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard!
Piers Morgan has branded Johnny Depp and Amber Heard a "shamelessly deluded and self-obsessed pair of whiny wastrels", as the ex-couple's high-profile legal battle began earlier this week. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for Washington Post, describing herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse." In retaliation, Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million.
In an opinion column for the New York Post, Morgan described how there are "so many things to be genuinely concerned about in our turbulent world", including the war in Ukraine and inflation. The controversial presenter, 57, wrote: "I can honestly say that the number of f***s I give about this shamelessly deluded and self-obsessed pair of whiny wastrels could be written on the back of Mycoplasma genitalium, the planet’s smallest living organism and appropriately, a parasitic bacterium that lives in our waste disposal organs."

In 2020, Depp sued The Sun for libel after the British tabloid called him a "wife beater" in an article. Bombshell claims and counterclaims were made throughout the hearing, including allegations of violence from both sides [Johnny Depp and Amber Heard], as well as grim testimony about poo being left in the marital bed, affairs with billionaires and other stars, top of Depp's finger being severed, dogs dangled out of car windows, names written in blood on mirrors, and constant foul-mouthed screaming at each other, among others.
Talking about that case, the former 'Good Morning Britain' host wrote: "My main takeaway from that repellent orgy of relentlessly revolting mudslinging is that they're mutually dreadful and should be avoided by future romantic suitors like a gazelle avoids a pride of ravenous lions." He went on to claim: "Depp and Heard hate each other with a passion that makes Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt look like an ad for loving harmony."
The British broadcaster accused the pair of "playing the victim at a time when there are millions of real victims suffering from war, a killer virus, and crippling rises in the cost of living." Morgan wrote in conclusion: "I can’t think of anyone less deserving of my sympathy than this gruesome twosome trapped in their own pathetically delusional, horribly selfish, toddler-tantrum world."
