TC Candler released its annual lists on Monday, December 28 and Felix 'PewDiePie' Kjellberg won the 'Most Handsome Face of 2020', followed by BTS' vocalist Taehyung who goes by stage name V. The popular YouTuber who is reportedly worth $30 million to $50 million has beaten actors, musicians and other artists from all across the world to top the list. TC Candler has been curating such lists since 1990 alongside The Independent Critics and has recently begun revealing the list on their YouTube page leading to a lot of discussions and disagreements among fans like the one that has been raging on Twitter between fans of Pewdiepie and Taehyung.

One fan wrote, "Pewdiepie slander will not be tolerated. So to all toxic bts stans come at me." However in response, a follower who claims to not be a BTS fans commented, "I'm not even a stan and I hate the dude's content. I used to watch him, but there is zero variety at all. Same s**t every time, bad jokes, 'fLoOr GAng', whatever it is." Another follower commented, "Tbh his content is the driest I've ever seen. I stopped watching midway through the Minecraft phase. He knows he's reached a point where he doesn't even need to try and his fans will still eat up their own s****y memes for 10 minutes." Another follower tried to make peace and wrote, "The thing is PewDiePie literally loves BTS."

One fan, however, pointed out how fans of Pewdiepie were passing off racist comments about him and even posted screenshots of the same on Twitter. This fan wrote, "Somehow tae got #2 and pewdiepie got #1 But his fans think s**t like this was ok????" This fan also added, "@antisstruggles I hate making you work so much. If all Asians look the same why don’t I look like this T_T." Then there was another tweet where fan posted a fan cam and wrote, "Oop the toxic stans found this go ahead and stream my debut fancam." This fan further commented on how district schools had decided that Asian kids would no longer be considered POC. The fan wrote, "Sharing this because a mf in the comments decided that b5s and +x+ get plastic surgery and when ommf clapped back somehow Asians aren’t considered poc anymore and we equal to Whites just gonna put this here."

One follower then pointed out that Pewdiepie himself never condoned such behavior and wrote, "I have never heard Felix condone or encourage this sort of behavior. It really sucks that people are like this. All we can do is stand against it, I don't stand for it." Shockingly though, one fan wrote, "Okay I agree with y'all on the first three but the fourth on(e) is uncalled for on the pro-tae side." To this, the BTS fan who had posted the thread in the first place responded and said, "Get out my mentions if you think that racism was ok. Don’t agree with us if you think racism is ok and don’t come near me if your gonna be ok with ppl being racist to my culture."

Kim Taehyung celebrates his birthday on December 30 and was recently in the news when his fans had purchased ad space to post a wish for him on the TIME magazine. He also happens to be the first Korean idol to have got an individual ad posted on World's Tallest Building — the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
