Did Pete Davidson call Kanye West a 'schmuck'? Fans hail comedian a 'Slay King'
Pete Davidson has apparently belittled Kanye West after the rapper attacked him and Kim Kardashian on social media. The comedian has rejoined Instagram after taking a break for around four years. Though he has not shared anything on the platform, he added an old video of Rupert Pupkin from ‘The King of Comedy’ on his bio.
In the video, the fictional character, played by Robert De Niro, said: “Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.” And, many people believe that the sentence was targeted towards the ‘Donda’ singer, who had called Davidson a “d**khead” in the past. The YouTube video is from February 2016 but fans have commented below it after the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star added it on his Instagram account.

Kanye West FOLLOWS Pete Davidson after bashing him over Kim Kardashian romance
A person commented, “Pete coming in with hella shade and I am here for it. Slay King.” Another one wrote, “You can’t roast a comedian, his whole job is to make fun of any situation with a come back. Go Pete! Boldly go where every man has gone before!” The third one said, “Jokes aside, Pete is handling this with class. Ye keeps punching himself.” “Stand tall Pete, we’ve always loved YOU!!! Much support and loven the shade…. And reflection in the shades as well! Go Pete Go!!!” a supporter of Davidson added.
A user remarked, “Damnnnnnn, shots fired! Nice job being super classy about this, Pete. Kanye is a fool.” The second user stated, “Well said Pete. You are handling this situation as a man with class which is more than I can say for Ye. So glad Kim has found someone who treats her well and who she can be herself around.” The third one slamming West said, “KANYE is just like SCOTT, they didn’t care they messed up but once their girl finally get into a relationship with someone they’re acting wild. Kanye is abusive and it shows how he bullies pete and kim on social media. Also i feel bad for north.”
This comes after West had publicly humiliated Davidson and the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star. He had shared a text message received from his estranged wife’s lover that read, “...you as a man I'd never get in the way of your children. That's a promise. How you guys go about raising your kids is your business and not mine. I do hope [some] day I can meet them and we can all be friends,” and added: “No you will never meet my children.”
The 44-year-old father of four kids – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – whom he shares with Kim also leaked messages reportedly sent by the socialite. One such text read, “You are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault.” Soon after that West posted another alleged message written by Kim that stated, “Well thank you. There are dangerous people out there and this is scary and it doesn't have to be,” to which the fashion designer responded: “I will always do everything to protect you and our family forever. And I listened to you and told everyone to make sure nothing physical happens to Skete.”
Later, West apologized for hurting Davidson and Kim publically as he noted, “I’ve learned that using all caps makes people feel like I’m screaming at them. I’m working on my communication. I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders.”
He also added: “I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be good leader is to be a good listener.”
