LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bella Poarch had a meteoric rise to fame, amassing millions of followers in just a year on TikTok.

Recently, Poarch got candid about her favorite pieces from the collection, her upcoming debut album, and how her service in the US Navy has shaped her into who she is today.

Adding more context to it, the singer-songwriter and social media sensation collaborated with HUGO on a capsule collection, adding yet another remarkable feather to her already impressive career.

In an interview with Wonderland, Poarch talked about working in the US Navy.

She and her brother enrolled in the Navy when Poarch was 17, and this was when she started basic training (boot camp) in Chicago.

Poarch said, "The Navy taught me a lot of lessons, and I guess the most important one was to be patient,” adding, “Not a lot of people have patience. It also taught me how to be detail-oriented, so when it comes to music, I’m kind of a perfectionist.”

On her first song, she said, "It was really important, for me, for my first song to have a really strong message."

She added, “It’s also important to me that my fans can relate to my music. At first, I was kind of like, ‘Do I really want to put “Build a Bitch” as my first song?’ Because the word ‘bitch’ was in there,” but I felt like it had the strongest message."

"I was really excited and scared when I first put it out because I wasn’t sure how my fans were going to react to it; they were either going to love it or hate it. I was nervous and had a lot of mixed feelings for sure, but I was very grateful when they loved the song and the video. It was really awesome,” she added.
