'Perfect timing': Macaulay Culkin fans rejoice as he reunites with 'Home Alone' mom Catherine O'Hara at Walk of Fame ceremony
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Home Alone' franchise's iconic mother-son duo Catherine O'Hara and Macaulay Culkin reunited three decades after the 1992 movie 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York'.
The actors reunited at Culkin's Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony on December 1, where the 69-year-old 'Schitt's Creek' actress gave a speech reflecting the evolution and growth of her onscreen son since the first 'Home Alone' movie.
O'Hara and Culkin had portrayed Kate and Kevin McCallister in the 1990 Christmas classic and its 1992 sequel by Chris Columbus and John Hughes.

Catherine O'Hara's speech left Macaulay Culkin in tears
O'Hara began her speech by saying Culkin is why 'Home Alone' is still loved by many around the globe.
"Home Alone was, is and always will be a beloved global sensation ... the reason families all over the world can't let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together is because of Macaulay Culkin," she said.
The actress also applauded Culkin, saying he had delivered the "perfect performance" as Kevin McCallister: "I know you worked really hard, I know you did, but you made acting look like the most natural thing in the world to do."
She added that his sense of humor was a "sign of intelligence."
"I believe you'd have to possess a certain quality," O'Hara said. "A gift that dear John Hughes obviously recognized in Macaulay."
Talking about Culkin's sense of humor, even as a child actor, she said, "It's a sign of intelligence in a child and a key to survival at any age," she added. "You have brought that sense of sweet yet twisted, yet totally relatable, sense of humor to everything you have chosen to do since Home Alone."
O'Hara concluded her speech by congratulating Culkin and thanking him for making her a part of the proud moment.
"Macaulay, congratulations. You so deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once but twice, to share in this happy occasion. I'm so proud of you."
Culkin wiped away his tears after sharing a hug with his beloved onscreen mother.
His 'Party Monster' costar, Natasha Lyonne, also spoke, congratulating Culkin for his achievement.
Culkin was emotional when he took to the podium to thank O'Hara and Lyonne. He ended his speech with a callback from his 'Home Alone 2.'
"To wrap things up, and in the spirit of the holiday season, I just wanna say Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals," Culkin said.
Fans say Macaulay Culkin is no longer 'home alone'
O'Hara's and Culkin's reunion was incredible for the 'Home Alone' fans worldwide. Many shared memories on social media about how, in the movie, O'Hara's Kate left Kevin twice during Christmas.
