'Perfect Match': Abbey left shaken as Bartise 'gaslights' her by twisting her words to shift blame
PANAMA CITY, PANAMA: Almost all pairs have been shuffled during the most recent set of episodes of 'Perfect Match', giving rise to new matches and plenty of heartbreaks. However, when Bartise Bowden dumps Abbey Humphreys for Izzy Fairthorne, she is not only taken aback, but she also accuses him of using her words against her.
Reality TV stars Chloe Veitch and Mitchell Eason reignited their relationship after meeting face-to-face again on the Netflix matchmaking program 'Perfect Match'. After winning a compatibility test, the couple was invited to the boardroom to select the next two individuals to send on dates. Right after winning the compatibility challenge, Chloe didn't waste any time putting herself on a date with Shayne Jansen. They offered Bartise another chance to find his perfect match by sending Diamond Jack on a date with him.

Bartise matches with Abbey after his date with Diamond
Bartise walked into the villa when Abbey was matched with Francesca Farago but was going through a rough patch. During a fun pool time with the cast, Francesca and Kariselle Snow shared a steamy kiss, which disappointed Abbey. Since that moment Abbey gave Francesca the cold shoulder and with Bartise's arrival in the villa they officially chose to part ways.
From the very first, Abbey found Bartise 'hot' and decided to talk to him and explore their connection. Abbey informs Bartise that she doesn't have a connection with anyone in the villa. Elsewhere, Diamond is left hanging and worried that Bartise is talking to more girls than guys after their date. When she walks up to him, Diamond catches Bartise kissing Abbey by the pool deck. Diamond felt blindsided by Bartise as she felt their date earlier went well.

Things take an ugly turn when Izzy walks into the villa with other eliminated contestants for one last shot at 'Perfect Match'. On the last night at the villa, everyone tested their existing connection along with exploring new potential connections. Abbey and Bartise went into the night headstrong and very certain about one another, but they hit a roadblock when Izzy makes Bartise's head turn once again. Even though Izzy went out on a sour note with Bartise she definitely felt there was some unfinished business left that needed to be sorted.
Bartise is enjoying his conversation with Izzy, which he wasn't expecting to go well. Izzy being mature about their situation attracted Bartise, making him doubt his connection with Abbey. While Abbey rejects all the men's advances, Bartise drops the final bombshell. Abbey claims to be caught off guard when Bartise says he's not confident about them. Abbey, according to Bartise, has issues with him talking to other girls in the house. Abbey claims to be irritated by Bartise's sudden "switch up."
Abbey informs Bartise how bad this will make him appear (on TV), to which he responds that he doesn't care how he looks, but he can't say the same about her. Bartise brings up their private conversation and uses it against her. Abbey confided in Bartise about her relationships with her mother and sister, but he brings it up in the discussion, accusing Abbey of being worried about how she would appear on TV.
Abbey leaves the conversation, wishing Bartise luck in his match with Izzy. On the other hand, Izzy thought Abbey's reaction was overblown because she had been in the same situation as her and had not reacted in the same way. Abbey heads home after informing Chloe about how Bartise was weaponizing "the s**t" she told him privately. In her confessional, she appears surprised by Bartise's dramatic personality shift. She describes her final conversation with Bartise as 'gaslighting' since he changed the conversation and accused Abbey of being jealous as he was talking to other girls, which she actually wasn't at all. "It's about the change of narrative for me," says Abbey.
