Perez Hilton has apologized to Johnny Depp for believing Amber Heard after she hinted following their 2017 divorce that he had been abusive towards her.

The apology comes following the leak of explosive audiotapes where Heard is seemingly taunting Depp and telling him no one would believe him if he accused her of abuse and that a judge and jury would side with her every time.

"I think so negatively of Amber Heard," Hilton said in a video addressing the scandal posted on his YouTube channel. "I've really questioned her credibility. I've questioned her motives. I've questioned everything."

"In this one, you know, she continues to taunt Johnny Depp," he added, referring to the tapes. "Continues to cast doubt and blame as to whether 'us' would believe that she would be able to attack him or assault him."

In the tapes, which are a recording of a phone conversation between Heard and Depp, the 'Aquaman' actress can be heard threatening her then-husband.

"You can please tell people that it was a fair fight, and see what the jury and judge thinks," she said. "Tell the world, Johnny, tell them, Johnny Depp, I, Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim too of domestic violence. And I, you know, it’s a fair fight. And see how many people believe or side with you."

When Depp responded with, "It doesn’t matter – fair fight my a**," she hits back, "Exactly, because you’re big, you’re bigger and you’re stronger. And so when I say that I thought that you could kill me, that doesn’t mean you counter with you also lost your own finger. I, I’m not trying to attack you here, I’m just trying to point out the fact of why I said call 911."

She was referring to an incident in Australia just a month into their marriage where she threw a vodka bottle at Depp, resulting in him severing the top of his finger.

"I feel like I owe Johnny Depp another apology," Hilton said in his video. "I want to apologize to Johnny Depp for not believing all of the other women in his life. I want to apologize to Johnny Depp for not believing Winona Ryder, for not believing Vanessa Paredes, for all of the women in his life who said that they never experienced anything like that."

"Typically, men that are violent, historically they're violent in multiple relationships," he continued. "I'm sorry, Johnny Depp."
