Meadow Walker, daughter of late actor Paul Walker, is making sure that the ‘The Fast and the Furious’ theme of ‘family’ also stands true in real life. She recently shared an adorable selfie with Paul’s co-star Vin Diesel’s kids, proving that she's still very close to them years after the tragic accident that took her father's life. Meadow was barely a teen when her father died in a car accident on November 30, 2013. However, she is still close to Paul's close pal and 'The Fast and the Furious' co-star Vin Diesel, 52, whose kids "are like siblings to Meadow." As reported by Metro, Diesel is also Meadow's godfather.

On June 29, 21-year-old Meadow took to Instagram to share a heartwarming selfie with Diesel's daughters Similce, 12, and Pauline, 5, along with his son Vincent, 10. Pauline was born in March 2015 — 16 months after Paul's tragic car crash at just 40 years of age — and she was thus named in his honor.

Meadow glowed and sported a big smile that made dimples in her cheeks. She was dressed casually in a maroon hoodie sweatshirt with the word "Boston" emblazoned across the front in white. The 21-year-old also flaunted her newly dyed brunette locks as she pulled them back and away from her face. Meadow, whose hazel-blue eyes twinkled with happiness, captioned the photo “family, forever,” something that would have definitely made her dad proud.

'The Fast and the Furious' franchise has made the concept of family central to its theme and has portrayed a brotherly camaraderie between Diesel's Dominic Toretto and Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner. Diesel and Walker were like brothers — even in real life — ever since the first  F&F movie released in 2001.  Diesel, who calls himself Meadow's "uncle", had an emotional message for her when she turned 21 in November 2019.

“I could say that I am so proud of the person you are becoming…but the truth is I have always been proud of you. Happy Birthday, Meadow! I know it’s your 21st and you wanted to go big in Japan, but the family has a cake waiting for you when you get home, so hurry. Love you kid. Uncle Vin," he had written on Instagram alongside a photo of her next to Pauline.

Meadow lost her father just three weeks after her 15th birthday on November 4, 2013. According to Metro, Paul Walker was "hosting a fundraiser for his charity Reach Out Worldwide to aid victims of a hurricane in the Philippines at a high-performance vehicle shop in Santa Clarita, CA." After the event, the actor took his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT for a spin with his close pal, former Pro-Am race driver Roger Rodas, who took the wheel.

Tragically, the vehicle was at a high speed when it crashed into a concrete post and two trees not far from the auto shop. The accident killed both Roger and Paul, who was finishing the filming of Furious 7 at the time. It would be his last appearance in the long-running franchise.
