PARIS, FRANCE: CJ Allen, an American track and field athlete, is competing in the 400m hurdles at Paris Olympics 2024, taking place from July 26 to August 11. This is his first time qualifying for the Olympics, as he finished second to Rai Benjamin at US Olympic trials in June this year.
Born to Jeffrey and Amy Allen in Belfair, Washington, CJ Allen broke the American national record for the 400m hurdles indoors in 2023 as he ran 48.88 seconds at the American Track League Pro Puma Classic, held in Iowa. It was followed by his victory at the Meeting de Paris at Stade Charlety, in Paris, winning the 400m hurdles in 47.92 seconds.
When will Paris Olympics 2024 men's 400m hurdles finals take place?
Men's 400m hurdles commences on August 5 with Round 1, followed by Repechage Round and Semi-finals on August 6 and 7 respectively.
The top athletes qualifying the semi-finals will compete for gold in finals, scheduled for August 9, 2024, at 3:45 pm ET.
