Did Pamela Anderson quit Instagram, Twitter and FB for good? 'Baywatch' star fears Big Tech controls minds
When social media has become a pivotal part of everyday life, former Playboy supermodel and 'Baywatch' star Pamela Anderson has decided to quit all platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, over fears surrounding Big Tech controlling the users’ minds.
The sudden announcement came on Tuesday, January 26, when Anderson took to Instagram to inform her followers that she was ditching social media for good. She wrote in her post, “This will be my last post on Instagram Twitter or Facebook I’ve never been interested in social media. And now that Im settled into the life Im genuinely inspired by reading and being in nature. I am free.”
“Thanks for the love. Blessings to you all. Lets hope you find the strength and inspiration to follow your purpose and try not to be seduced by wasted time. Thats what THEY want and can use to make money Control over your brain,” she added further.
Anderson will lose over 3 million followers
Even though Anderson wasn’t a huge fan of social media, she had gathered impressive clout with all her accounts on different websites. While she has over 1.2 million followers on Instagram, she’s followed by 1 million on Twitter.
Meanwhile, her official Pamela Anderson Foundation Facebook page has around 900,000 people following her. The foundation supports organizations and individuals on the “front lines in the protection of human, animal and environmental rights.”
The ‘Baywatch’ star made her stance clear on Twitter as well, as she bid goodbye to it on her last post. Her tweet read, “Goodbye Social Media #hallelulia “

Has she deleted her accounts?
Anderson's decision to quit social media indefinitely has left her fans and followers wondering where they can catch up on her whereabouts. However, all of her accounts are still active and she hasn't deleted any of them. Perhaps, they will be handled by her team of representatives, but no official reports about the same are made available.
Meanwhile, fans have noted that they will miss hearing from the actress through her posts on social media. And others have seconded her decision to stay away from the virtual world. One tweeted, "You will be missed," another wrote, "Mind Control ... if by that you mean "shaping your identity" and "molding your opinions" pushing "new agendas so they seem "acceptable" as they are placed in new (tolerable) contexts Social Media is Mind Control Pamela Anderson is 100% correct" One said, "We'll miss you if you go,... but your choice. You've done so much good. More than your share. Thank-you." Adding to the above tweets one wrote, "So Pamela Anderson said she’s leaving social media cuz big tech companies are finding ways to control our brains. I agree 100%."
