Paige Spiranac responds to Nate Lashley's 'sexist' comment: 'Not my fault people like b***s and golf'

Paige Spiranac recently shared a video on her social media platform, stating that she can play golf. She hit a great shot down the fairway while standing over the ball in the video. Spiranac is a prominent golf influencer, who recently criticized professional golfer Nate Lashley for his "sexist" comments regarding her view on slow play at the Masters.

When criticizing slow play during the final round of this year's Masters, Spiranac said in one of her widely shared social media posts that she had "seen paint dry faster than that round was finished."

Paige Spiranac calls Nate Lashley sexist

Spiranac and Lashley, a former PGA Tour golfer, got into a contentious argument. The golf influencer reprimanded Lashley for his disapproval of her statement about her "slow play." Patrick Cantlay, in particular, was relentlessly mocked for his sluggish performance in The Masters' final round. Spiranac joined the conversation and insisted that the matter be fixed. On her Twitter page, she posted a video with the caption, "40 seconds is a long time"

Lashley questioned Spiranac's credentials for being able to criticize slow play on the PGA Tour. He commented, "I don’t like slow play at all but these courses are very difficult and there is a lot on the line. If @PaigeSpiranac would have played professionally at a higher level she would understand but I don’t think most people are watching these videos to see what she has to say."

Spiranac argued that Lashley's comments had sexist overtones and that everyone was in agreement that slow play needs to be fixed. She then took to Twitter to continue the argument by tweeting. “I said Nate’s tweet was sexist on my podcast which is now causing a stir on twitter lol. Yes, I use my sex appeal to my advantage but that doesn’t invalidate my opinion," adding, "I share a similar stance on slow play as many top pros as well as many in golf media but he only decided to call me out and belittle my achievements in the process. It’s not about me showing my cleavage and getting upset when I’m called out by it. I’m upfront about my brand. Not my fault people like b**bs and golf. Both are wonderful.”

Paige Spiranac's reminder

Spiranac took to Twitter to prove that she could play golf too. She captioned the video, "Reminder that I can in fact hit a golf ball." In 2023, she has already reminded her followers of her remarkable abilities, and earlier in April, she provided a driving lesson.

Spiranac added by commenting, "Proud! I paved a path for all these women and that’s pretty cool."

Her technique left fans speechless, who praised her in the comments. One responded to the video saying, "A thing of beauty. Great golf swing, too."

Another said, "HOLY S**T! What a beautiful swing!"
