Spiranac said, “When I was out of college and not sure what I wanted to do with my life, I finished this tournament, I was checking my phone, and Dan wrote this very lovely article about me on 'Total Frat Move' and it was essentially a love note to me. That article went viral. I went viral. And within a week, I went from having 500 followers to 100,000 followers. ”She added, “And we were just kind of talking back and forth, and we ended up, just yeah, having this friendship for years and years and years, which I don’t know how we have still continued to be friends through.”
'I started golfing when I was 12, almost 13'
With around 3.8 million followers on Instagram and more than 900K on Twitter, Spiranac has undoubtedly become a household name in the golf industry. Back in 2022, Spiranac answered Google's most-asked question about her. The most frequently asked questions section of Google features celebrity video responses to the questions. ''When did Paige Spiranac start golfing?'' was the top question on Google since she used to be a professional golfer. She answered, “I started golfing when I was 12, almost 13.” Prior to taking up golf, Paige said ''she was a competitive gymnast. But Spiranac decided to give up gymnastics after suffering two knee cap fractures.'' Spiranac stated that she decided on golf because she wanted to try something different. She said, “I was like, quit that, let’s start something new, and I picked up golf, loved it right away.”
