TALK DERBY TO ME: Ozzy Osbourne swore off consuming ACID after he ended up talking to a horse for an hour
LONDON, ENGLAND: The godfather of heavy metal Ozzy Osbourne revealed in a recent interaction with Dailystar how he stopped consuming acid after he returned to England this year. The rocker said he realized it was time to quit doing acid after a horse told him to "f**k off."
He said, "At that time in America, people were very fond of lacing your drinks with acid. I didn’t care." Ozzy said, "I took 10 tabs of acid then went for a walk in a field. I ended up standing there talking to this horse for about an hour. In the end, the horse turned round and told me to f**k off. That was it for me.”

Crunch time for Ozzy! Rocker set for surgery that will 'determine the rest of his life'
In an interview with The Sun, Ozzy revealed he was told by the doctors he could be paralyzed for life after his first spinal surgery "I was told, ‘You’ve got a good chance of being paralyzed for the rest of your life.' You just don’t expect the surgeon to be a f***ing butcher. I was left in agony," he said. Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019. The same year, he suffered a major fall that aggravated a neck injury from his 2003 quad bike accident.
This accident eventually aggravated the nerve damage from his quad bike accident of 2003, which fractured eight ribs and a vertebra in his neck. To curb the same, he underwent surgery in 2019. This left him with 15 screws in his back, and pain in his neck, back, shoulders and arms. On June 15, Ozzy went through a realignment surgery for his spine. In an interview with Page Six, one of his family members stated, "Ozzy is 73, and any kind of surgery when you get older is difficult. This is quite major. He’s having the pins in his neck and back realigned from when he had a fall back in 2019. He has been in a lot of pain.” His wife, Sharon said on the The Talk that the surgery was "really going to determine the rest of his life.” However, the Black Sabbath hitmaker returned to the stage in his hometown of Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, two months after the recent surgery.
The 'Bark at the moon' singer spoke to Entertainment Tonight in July. When asked regarding his health, he said, "It's great, it's great. I like to see people, you know. That's been the hardest thing of the past three years because I've been trying to recover from my surgery. I'm getting there. It's a slow climb back, you know?" Speaking about the recovery, he added, "I'm getting there. It's a slow climb back, you know?". The star also confessed that his drug addiction was so out of control he'd injure himself to get prescriptions. "I used to get a piece of wood and whack myself over the head, so they would give me a bottle of pain pills. We are f***ing clowns," he said. He admitted that drugs helped him sleep well.
