Contains Spoilers for 'Ozark' Season 4 Part 2 (Episode 12)

In the previous episode of ‘Ozark’ Season 4 Part 2, we saw Marty losing his mind and beating the shit out of a car driver when he called Wendy a “bi***”. He punches the guy multiple times before a couple of guys come and take him away from here. It turns out Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy were taken to jail after the altercation. Jonah and Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) had to go to jail and bail their parents out.

In the car, they discuss what’s happening with them, and even though, Marty knows that Wendy (Laura Linney) is making her crazy, he is ready to make things work out. As they reach home, Wendy talks to Marty and tells him that if he wants to leave her, he can, after the ongoing matter is over. She says that she doesn’t want him to go away from her, but if he takes the decision of getting separated, she would take it in a good manner. However, Marty is not thinking about that.

On the other hand, Nathan has decided to not pursue finding Ben now because he gets to know that he was indulging in some work for the cartel. He asks Charlotte and Jonah to leave their parents and head to North Carolina with him. He doesn’t waste any time in getting a petition to take the kids away from their parents. Nathan goes to meet Wendy and asks her to sign the papers, but Wendy doesn’t do that. She slams the door and asks him to get away. A few moments later, when Marty and Wendy ask their kids what they want and it looked like Charlotte wanted to go away so that she and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner) are safe from this situation.

The court date comes up and surprisingly, Mel doesn’t come to the hearing and misses all the calls from Nathan. After waiting for some time, Judge announces that because Charlotte is 18 now and Jonah lives in a motel, they are perfectly capable of deciding who they want to live with. The children decide to leave for North Carolina. Wendy begs Nathan to not take her kids away from her, but he doesn’t listen to her. Wendy gets really agitated and as soon he gets inside the car, she bangs her head aggressively against the window, causing blood to start pouring down her face.

But why did Mel didn’t pick up Nathan’s calls? It turns out that Wendy and Marty did some scheming and put him back into Chicago PD. He took the offer and left the job as a private investigator.

Elsewhere, it was a big moment for Ruth (Julia Garner) because something special and big was going to happen. Ruth and Rachel meet Charles Wilkes, who decides to give his share to them so that he can take revenge on the Byrdes. He also told Ruth that he can set up a meeting with a judge that would clear her record. They meet the judge and she asks why should she clear her record? She agrees to do some digging into her background and says she’ll do a drop-in visit, later on, to talk more.

Although she doesn’t trust Ruth, after visiting her again, the judge decides to expunge her and clear her record.
