LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Similar to its smash hit predecessor, 'Orphan Black', the most recent science fiction series on AMC, 'Orphan Black: Echoes', keeps pushing the boundaries with the intriguing premise of the manufacturing of clones.

Set against the backdrop where cloning technology is at its zenith, 'Orphan Black: Echoes' explores the quest of a clone Lucy (Krysten Ritter), who embarks on a journey to uncover the mystery behind her existence. The premier episode of the show revealed Dr Kira Manning (Keeley Hawes) as the one responsible for Lucy's creation, adding a layer of intrigue to the plotline.

If you have seen the blockbuster hit 'Orphan Black', you must be aware that Kira is the daughter of the show's protagonist Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany), and is often deemed a miraculous child.

So, what exactly does Kira have to do with Lucy and her existence?

In the original series, 'Orphan Black' Kira was portrayed as a miraculous child since she was the daughter of clone Leda clone Sarah and Cal Morrison (Michiel Huisman).

Now, it should be remembered that clones are designed to be sterile, but Sarah defies this by giving birth to Kira, a clone's only known biological child.

Additionally, she also possesses unique abilities like prophetic dreams that anticipate events, quick healing abilities, and a special connection to her mother and aunts, the other Leda clones, that emerges as a kind of 'sixth sense' where she can detect their presence or the emotions of the clones.

Kira's unique abilities quickly distinguish her from others and make her a target for Dyad Institute, the firm that is driving the cloning effort.

In the spin-off, Kira is shown as a grown-up who works as a scientist. She is shown to have carved out a great career for herself, even earning a reputation in the profession by developing printed organs for transplantation.

The show's premiere reveals that Kira is the scientist behind the groundbreaking experiment to create Lucy.

In the show's first episode, Kira attempts to start a conversation with a startled Lucy, who awakens unaware of her background, but Kira quickly reveals that she is the result of a scientific experiment, i.e., a printed clone.

Lucy flees after discovering the disturbing reality with Kira and is seen attempting to apprehend her.

It should be noted that Kira's unique abilities, like her prophetic dreams, might present problems for Lucy in the future, where she could gain a strategic edge by predicting Lucy's actions or goals.

This might put Lucy at a disadvantage in any conflicts or efforts to elude arrest staged by Kira or others.

Furthermore, her capacity to detect the presence and emotions of the Leda clones, including Lucy, may allow her to hunt her down even while Lucy attempts to flee arrest.

Kira's heightened sensory acuity may make it harder for her to conceal or flee unobserved.

Kira's unusual powers not only increase the depth of her character but also amplify the tensions and problems that Lucy faces, adding a captivating element to the show's storyline.
