Original 'High School Musical' star Lucas Grabeel's cameo in Disney+ series has fans giving it a big hurrah
While Episode 7 of 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' ran deep in emotions, the latest episode showcased an amazing surprise appearance by bringing back one of the cast members of the original 'High School Musical'.
Titled 'The Tech Rehearsal', Episode 8 saw the cast and crew deal with the chaos caused by the electric fire that occurred in the last episode.
While everybody is on the lookout for a new theater to perform, Miss Jen is bogged down by the fear of a confrontation with her past when she finds a place in an old theatre downtown.
For the sake of the troop's tech rehearsals, she decides to go to the theatre only to blackout at the sight of an old mannequin. This follows a dream sequence, in which Miss Jen is seen performing a musical number with OG cast member Lucas Grabeel Aka Ryan Evans himself!
Fans could not contain their excitement following their performance on 'Role of a Lifetime'.
One fan posted, "The pure joy and excitement @sweetcurline and I experienced watching @MrGrabeel in 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' makes up for the failure to include the line 'yo doggie, Troy my hoops boy' in the show."
Reacting to Grabeel's comeback performance, a few noted, "lucas grabeel is in this and why am i getting emotional. he looks older but his voice is the same" and "second one (Hannah) says this: Lucas Grabeel making a cameo in High School Musical the Musical the Series makes life worth living."
A few hours ago, ahead of the premiere of episode 8, Grabreel tweeted, "I had a blast with these peeps! hsmtmtseries My EPISODE IS LIVE NOW! disneyplus Seriously, these kids are the freaking best. If you were an HSM fan, watch this show!"
Meanwhile, another fan wrote, "So @DisneyStudios the ten-year high school reunion is coming up for #HighSchoolMusical, can we get a high school musical the reunion movie and catch up with the characters 10 years later?!?"
