LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Oprah Winfrey gave a coy response on being asked about how she felt about President Joe Biden announcing that he will run for re-election in 2024. On being asked whether she is excited, she told the cameras as she left Las Vegas on Tuesday, April 25, "Come on, now! That's not happening." Winfrey had endorsed Biden in 2020.

Oprah was in Las Vegas to present a remake of 'The Color Purple', her breakout role, Daily Mail reported. She spoke up for liberal candidates before the 2022 midterm elections. Among those who got her support were North Carolina's Cheri Beasley, Florida's Val Demings, Wisconsin's Mandela Barnes, Nevada's Catherine Cortez Masto, Texas' Beto O'Rourke, and Georgia's Raphael Warnock and Stacey Abrams. She also endorsed John Fetterman in his campaign over Dr Mehmet Oz for Senate in Pennsylvania.

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE: Docs claim Joe Biden, 80, is too unfit for another term in office

'And so we RISE as Maya would remind us'

When former vice president Biden was previously elected as the nation's president, Winfrey seemed to suggest that a step had been taken in the right direction. "And so we RISE as Maya would remind us. Character rises. Decency rises. The Soul of America gets a reset. And it starts now: #BidenHarris," she wrote in a November 2020 tweet. In October of that year, Winfrey invited him to take part in a town hall for OWN's 'OWN Your Vote' campaign.

Back in 2012, Winfrey backed Barack Obama's re-election. She also backed Clinton's losing campaign to Donald Trump in 2016. However, she was notably friendly with Trump dating back to her time on television.

Medical experts believe Joe Biden is too unfit for another term

Medical experts are concerned about whether Biden, 80, is fit enough to serve another term. Biden's yearly physical exam reportedly found that he suffers from seven conditions, including a heart condition that makes the muscle beat faster than usual, causing dizziness and confusion. He has suffered two brain aneurysms, according to Daily Mail.

Biden has suffered atrial fibrillation, or an irregular heartbeat, since 2003. He reportedly takes Eliquis, the blood thinner apixaban, to treat the illness. In Biden's latest health summary, it was found that he suffers from high cholesterol.

Biden's physician, however, said in a five-page report in February that he remains a "healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency." Biden has never publicly addressed concerns about his health. In fact, he has dismissed claims that he is mentally ill and too old to be President.
