Doria Ragland was one of the women trending on Twitter after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey came out on CBS. The mother of Meghan was showered with lavish praise on social media for being a "fantastic mother" at the time when she endured a lot of suffering from the royal family. And although this could be categorized as wishful thinking, fans want Oprah to also interview Ragland for her thoughts on the whole murky fiasco that has unfolded.

"Tonight, I want to send love not only to a strong, powerful mother-to-be but to her mom, Doria Ragland, who has had to endure the pain & suffering of watching her baby suffer at the hands of people who pledged to protect her. We stan true queens," one of the tweets read. "Oprah, we need to hear from Doria Ragland, please," a fan wrote. This was seconded by another who said: "someone get miss Doria Ragland on the phone i know her ass has something to say."

Meghan Markle's mother reportedly 'miserable' after being silenced by the royal family

Meghan fans were just ecstatic. "Doria Ragland, May the heavens and all the black ancestors bless you for giving us this special gift that is Meghan! Thank you!" a comment read. The startling revelations by Meghan also had the Internet speculating about how Ragland was treated. "I wonder how Meghan's mom Doria Ragland was really treated by The Firm," one of the people asked. "Again, I would love to hear Doria Ragland’s POV. Literally handed her daughter to a racist institution and saw all the lies + mistreatment from press + that family," another tweet read.

"I just want to send all my love to Doria Ragland for being the fantastic mother Meghan needed at a time when a lot of moms would have gotten swept up and gaslighted their kids. That woman is a national treasure. #HarryandMeghanonOprah," one opined.

Previously, a report by Radar Online said the mother of the newly-appointed Duchess of Sussex was quite miserable for being silenced by her in-laws, i.e., the members of the British royal family. As per the report, Ragland had been placed under strict orders from “The Firm” to not speak at all about her only daughter, Meghan Markle. The order demanded Ragland to sign a legal document that dissuades her from speaking about anything related to Meghan's life.

Radar Online's sources said she was miserable about getting silenced by the British Royal family. “Doria can’t eat, speak or otherwise open her mouth about Meghan unless she clears it with the Royal family,” a source close to the new Duchess of Sussex explained to the publication. “They’ve silenced her and made her sign a non-disclosure agreement.”

It added: “Her friends are asking how the wedding was, how the food was, asking how happy Meghan is and all Doria did was shrug her shoulders. She didn’t say a word. It’s so sad. The poor lady looks and feels miserable.”
